The Shotgun has been an iconic Halo weapon since CE debuted over 20 years ago. Over the years they have added new forms of shotguns, but always kept the tried and true pump action powerhouse in some form. Now they have two replacement shotgun-like weapons that function VERY differently. Basically one is nearly useless In my opinion and the other is reasonably good…in ranked when there aren’t AR’s and Sidekicks to overpower it.
There are videos showing (admittedly biased) evidence of the quality difference between the bulldog and heatwave, and I’m not really seeing any that favor the bulldog other than as a sneaky beat down weapon or a room clearer once everyone is already one shot before you get there.
