In my opinion, this game looks INCREDIBLE. I think I’m the only one here that’s actually excited, and not complaining like a little -Yoink-!

Master Chief looks incredible! The new armour looks so cool! It’s not like he’s totally alien to us now, he’s still the Chief. Chief just got… more badass…er…

I’m loving the Battle Rifle’s new look. It’s the 26th century, why are we using 21st century weapons? The new weapon looks like it’s from a sci-fi game, which is good.

Cortana in the concept art looks great, too. Apparently her face looks more human, but I didn’t notice her face, I just couldn’t help staring… Ooh…

The maps look like a lot of fun, even yet dynamic, They also looks very fun and exciting battlefields!

These are my thoughts, feel free to complain like little -Yoinks!- if you disagree, it’s what some people here do…

The visual design of the game seems to be leaning towards a Halo 3-esque direction, which IMO is great. Huge fan of the aesthetics so far.

OT: I agree with you though, this gaame looks amazing from what little we’ve seen so far, I can’t WAIT to see more of it =D

I agree, games need to change, both look and feel. With better game engine and (soon) new hardware the devs can make everything so much better then before. Instead of just raising the polygon count, re-design and remake, make the models better then ever before.
And like OP says, it’s a Sci-fi game, not a modern realistic shooter, games ought to look futuristic, not like every other FPS out there.

First of, thank you for an optimistic thread and not complaining about “perks”, loudouts or anything like that.

OT: I totally agree. At least from an aesthetic and visual point of view, this turning out to be the best Halo yet. I will hold my judgment on whether the unexplained gameplay changes are good or not.

Visually, the game looks great. From the concept art that has been released up to this point, the forerunner structures seem familiar and yet at the same time intriguing and mysterious. That is the thing about the Halo games, we grew up being John and we feel what he feels. When we first encountered the Halo in Halo 1 and the structures within, we felt a sense of uncertainty and at the same time a sudden perplexion to find out more. As the games went on, we familiarized with the forerunner structures more and more and came to appreciate what was to become the driving force behind the Halo games.

Now, it’s a new game on a new world. It’s like going back to the first Halo and that feeling of utter curiosity for our surroundings. I want to feel like there is a lot to discover and fuel my curiosity for the lore behind the Halo series, and from the concept art that has been released I don’t think I will be disappointed. Everything seems familiar…yet new.

Though, I’d say Chief looks more badass, but also incredibly -Yoink!-. Just sayin’.

Love the new art direction 343 is taking, something about the armour just makes it more threatening somehow. The rest of the universe now seems to be a bit more sci-fi, I feel it actually fits into the five hundred years in the future timeframe.

Can’t say I’m disappointed in what my eyes are beholding right now.
That sounds weird, so to rephrase; I like the art/pictures/game-play I’ve been seeing lately.

I too am loving how the game looks.
The graphics and art style are amazing and seem to be going back to the sci-fi look that we all love.

Agreed, the BR does look more like a sci-fi weapon but still looks properly human.

Loads of people are complaining about sprint, but as long as the deafault running speed isn’t slow like Reach, I won’t mind it.

The only thing I am skeptical about are the perks/not perks.
