I would like to say that the buff for the Scarabs and Condors got are awesome. Played a few games last night and made some Scarabs. They’re in a good spot now, they’re not as useless as they were before and they put up a hell of a fight. I actually got 2 level 1 Scarabs in a game which I’ve never gotten before. The Condors i’m not sure of since I almost never play UNSC but I plan on trying out some later tonight.
BTW this is not a NERF this or this is OP thread genuinely glad of the buffs they got.
Cough cough I have no idea what you’re talking about SIr now with that being said I still lost the games I played when I made the Scarabs but thats not taking away from them being in a good spot.
I think Kinsano’s Condor needs to work with her passives. If all the scarabs can use passives AND all other Condors can receive passive and active buffs, then hers should too. I think it may just be a bug and not intended.

I don’t think condors work with passives, I haven’t done any testing but there was a thread where it was confirmed that they don’t work for passives because they are classified as a “super unit” and not a vehicle or air unit. TL:DR is passives shouldn’t affect condors and if they do then it may be a bug.

Condors are not effected by any passives except Time for heroes.
I understand why their not but it’s unfair for Scarab to have so many passive buffs from so many leaders imo.

As Phoenix said they do work with Time for Heroes. Through my own testing I have found that they also work with Heavy Metal, EMP Mac Blast, and Spartan Morale actives, as well as Forge Aura and Spartan Inspire.
However, none of Kinsano’s passives or actives work, those being Heat of Battle, Hellcharge, and Redline. I feel this must be a bug and not working as intended. The only other leader powers that don’t work on them are Holographic Decoy and Combat Salvage, which for the most part seem to be intended.
I think Scarabs outperform Condors in most scenarios, and they have access to all available Banished passives and actives. It is especially pecular that they don’t recieve the benefits from Heat of Battle seeing as the Banished counterpart Killing Frenzy works with his super unit. It would be nice to see Kinsano have another unique thing added to her kit, that also really doesn’t make sense why it isn’t there in the first place, whether it is classified as a “super unit” or not.
The super units IMO have no place in Halo Wars. They throw off the whole game balance. Im not saying they are good or bad I’m saying in a game where you can kill a base with 11 substructures just by destroying the main building this unit should not be existence and all the other units in the game need to be balance around these super units too not just the other unit choices. Plus using 40/120 for a single troop is asinine for an RTS game where the core element is army battles.
Needs a nerf not cause it’s powerful but because it needs it’s unit cost reduced to be a more flexible unit choice.
I do need to say that Scarabs are a muuch better spot now, for I can also agree that I’m managing to finally have these bugs get veterancy which I only ever got at the launch of this game.
I was able to build a condor in a game earlier and I’m quite happy with how responsive it’s new movement is, who would’ve though that increasing it’s turn rate would have such and effect on its survivability.
Condors are in a great spot right now.
When I make scarabs,
My main goal is to stomp the enemy army.
I don’t feel any changes should take place or I believe game will become ultimate spam.
