Thoughts on prometheans?

I’d like to know evenyones opinions on the prometheans.
I personally don’t like them, they were fun and new in h4 but now they’re in h5 I don’t really dont like them, in comparison to the covenant they’re very boring, they all look the same (I know ots to do with the lore etc.) But the covenant are colourful and funny and not a pain to kill. I’d like to see them cut from the next game TBH or completely redone with better mechanics and a better variety colour wise no just orange with dark grey or orange with light grey, what about you?

A very boring enemy i wouldn’t mind in halo six if they were completely ditched and replaced with just fighting the covenant since they won’t bring back the flood

Yeah my thoughts also, actually the flood are still alive, an infection for was seen in a spaceship in one of the comics

They’re neat, but they were way cooler and more interesting in Halo 4 - they were more intimidating and mysterious.

For an enemy that can teleport anywhere, has technology thousands of years ahead of humanity, has taken out the precursors, and has the ability to predict the future, the Promethean are utterly woeful at taking out a single Human ship which has been leading the fight against them. They are pathetic.

I like having another race to fight. I would like in Halo 6 to fight covenant, promethian, brute, and flood.

Warden Eternal is an annoying bullet sponge. Soldiers are a pain in the -Yoink- because they teleport so much. The new Knights are better than the older Halo 4 bullet sponges. Crawlers and Watchers are about the same.

Very boring to fight in Halo 4, much more fun to fight in Halo 5, but still not half as fun when compared to fighting the Covenant/Brutes/Flood.

They are a decent enemy to fight however they should have more variety to slaughter.

They’re boring and huge pain in the -Yoink-.

Anyone know the best way to kill them on legendary? Soldiers use up all my ammo…

Suppressor to get rid of armor, LightRifle to finish off with a headshot.

My opinion won’t be very popular, but I think in general they’re a very underrated enemy, especially Warden.

Now I understand he was a repetitive boss fight, but I love his character. I just think they used him improperly. They never explained the WHY aspect of his actions, which is imperative if we are to understand the character. He puts a face to the Prometheans as a whole, so we should know more than just ‘he inexplicably let Cortana into the Domain and now really likes her.’ Not really good enough, in my opinion.

I like Prometheans because they would be amazing at what they were designed to do - fight the Flood. Everything about their weaponry screams efficiency in the face of the Parasite. When they die, their bodies disintegrate, thus denying the Flood yet another vessel to use.

If you look at something like the Incineration Cannon, you can tell it was designed to have a massive initial impact and then it breaks off into smaller clusters to probably kill any surrounding/remaining infection forms. The new suppressor was clearly designed with killing infection forms in mind, seeing as how the bolts are individually weak but are able to track, which would be amazing for killing those little things. The same thing with pulse/splinter grenades. Flood typically run straight at their foes, so those two grenades would be phenomenal, seeing how they would be both offensive and defensive at the same time.

Long story short, I like fighting them because they are BELIEVABLE. If Forerunners were real, and the Flood were real, the Prometheans would be a fantastic idea to combat them. We haven’t had the fortune of being able to witness them fight Flood, but it would be amazing to see.

Personally I think they are a cool enemy, but they should have shown up less in Halo 5. I thought they were kind of special and you are all the time killing those robotic dogs in Halo 5.
In Halo 6 I hope they are fighting the Flood with less protagonism

I have lots of thoughts on Prometheans. Mostly on the best ways to kill them. So far, the best is a tie between SPNKR to the face and Nornfang to the joints, followed by a swift rifle stock to the back.

Flood>Covenant> Sentinel variations> Prometheans

I didn’t even like them in Halo4. They’re annoying lol

Crawlers = annoying, like they have as much health as the soliders
Soliders = annoying , they hop around way to much and just sit there
Knights (h5)= actually a decent enemy. The others could learn from it
Watchers = annoying incarnate
Warden = ok-ish really wish he wasn’t so cheap

Overall I have way more fun fighting covies.

plus the old suppressor would have been amazing at tearing apart packs of infection forms.

I like the prometheans as an enemy. they offer a distinctive challenge to the covenant and the flood. I think the improvements made in H5 along with the addition of the Armigers made them a really viable enemy. I do think they need more work though. More Armiger variants, new classes (look up the concepts for the Cavalier and Packmaster) and maybe the addition of different types of knights like in H4 (but with H5s weak points) would really help flesh them out.

Excellent analysis m8…can’t believe this never crossed my mind, other than the not being able to be infected part

Sentinels are more intimidating and look cooler, of course some parts of the promtheans were cool but they mostly got removed and replaced with generic space robots.
