Where can you find code redemption history?
Love the look and feel of the new waypoint, but was a bit confused on how to access
service records, and other options. 
Then I realized that different options
appeared when I clicked my profile picture in the forum or homepage sections.

Really clean, accessible and a nice interface, here on the Discourse app (iOS).
Like the font, too. 
Spam, some more subtle, some more blatant. At worst, it took one person who decided to create a “Hey, let’s rank up thread”, us not catching it early, and suddenly we have a thread with hundreds of posts and a couple dozen spammers we need to take care of.
That’s the obvious side, but there was also a subtle side to spamming. You would see it on some users, where they had lots of posts per day, all really short and pointless. The habit of posting low-effort content to increase forum rank just led to a bunch of garbage noise that the forums would really have been better without.
Having that goal was kind of the source of the problem. I want people to post because they have something meaningful to say, not because they feel like they need to say something to reach the next level. Not having ranks will definitely disincentivize some people from posting, but honestly… that’s kind of what I want. The incentive to post should come from within, not from the outside.

I really like the new forums, the old system was a bit janky. Still got to learn what all these new buttons do haha.
I’ve been exploring the site, very easy to use and it just works. I’m a fan!

- From here click the “Halo Waypoint” logo at the top.
- Then click your “Avatar” at the top right hand corner.
- Then click “Redeem Code” in the list that shows up.
- You can then “Redeem Codes” from that screen. (I know that isnt the question)
- Click “History” and boom. You have your list.
(I would have linked it as that seems to work also if you have it but my instructions will have to do for now)

It will take some time to get used to everything. It will probably take a few days for all of the features to come online.
Profile banners are missing, badges, post count from the old Waypoint.

The badges are just Discourse’s default ones. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to them.

I do understand your point of view and your right when you say that people shouldn’t post JUST to get to the next rank. I’ll still personally miss the ranks though. For the most part I had a lot of good idea/thoughts I wanted to post, but didn’t., because I thought “what was the point of doing it?” The idea of earning something (especial something Halo related) for contributing gave me that nudge to post my ideas/thoughts. It wasn’t just about getting to the next rank for me, although yes, it was a motive at first. Because of said motive, you now have a person that contributes daily (except when baking cakes throughout the day till 3 in the morning) to Halo waypoint instead of just coming on here every now and again. The rewards did have their up’s and did have their complications as you have pointed out., but for me the the incentive to post was there, but only came out once there was thing pushing me to do so. There are those types of people in the world who have that attitude of “what’s the point of doing it all?” who have really get ideas, but sometimes need a nudge to get them to do it.
I do wonder how many new people coming aboard now (especially since infinite is coming out) will not post their ideas (like I once didn’t) because there is no goal/thrive to do so. But, at the end of the day, what’s done is done.

So I asked about this because I was curious.
The accessibility requirements is a certain contrast which this site meets. But as I mentioned elsewhere, I’ve asked about it myself and will revisit the idea next year sometime.
