I seen someone else mention that it won’t pull Xbox 360 profile pictures from your profile so that’s why it has given you a default B because your gamertag starts with the letter B. The background color might be randomized or it might use the color that you have chosen to use on your Xbox. Since you specified that it was purple/pink, I would assume it was randomized.

It would be nice to be able select a default game on the mobile app. Mine keeps defaulting to Halo 5.

Can’t seem to figure out how to add a new topic to General discussion this new website is in my opinion confusing they just should have stuck with the old one and fixed the notifications I like the old one way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way way better than this for the love of God they need to stop changing everything

Go to General Discussion. On the line where the filters are, look to the right and you’ll see a button labelled ‘+ New Topic’

I stood up another site sometime ago to be a community like Waypoint, and Archive when that was a thing the forums are pretty simple if you are up to join the conversation there otherwise this site with just a little more time really is not that bad and very competitive to most forums out there now. Forums in general are really a dying culture but its upticking a little bit since COVID-19 and well, Facebook and other services having data privacy scandals.

After using it for a couple of weeks, I find there’s far too much repetition and noise on the forums. A ton of threads discussing the same few topics and absolutely no effort made to limit or consolidate and focus the discussion.
I think they did a far better job with the old site.

To be fair, the new site is just as new to us as it is to you so we’re still getting used to the flow of moderating. Infinite has just released, 343’s first major release since Halo 5, so we’re also letting people try and enjoy this time a bit more. With the sheer volume of topics it can be hard to focus attention on megathreads but things like that will come eventually.
There is also the new tags feature we have available that was highlighted and encouraged for people to use. If there’s topics on certain subjects you’d rather focus on you can read through the topics for that particular tag.

I like the new design, but I had some cool exclusive badges before that were just zapped from existence, now I don’t get to be a cool boy on internet forums :c

Well, this may take some time to get used too. I’m gonna miss the badges and old threads made that of old times. I do like the darker background and better editing tools however.

same here. it shows letters and numbers and “invalid” at the end Even though I already verified it and I can sign in and out with no issue. Might just be a minor bug.

They’re not allowing emails yet. Putting in invalid email addresses is how they’ve prevented them being sent.

I have some (important?) questions:
- Will my stats for infinite eventually be shown? Or is my Infinite Service Record just for trying to sell me stuff?
- Is the team aware that Best Times for MCC are now shown in seconds?
I actually think the new site is worse. Forums seem ok, but I only ever came to view my service record. Don’t tell me we’re going Blizzard’s way and not showing match statistics because someone’s feelings might get hurt. My MCC KDA is 0.5. I can take it.
As long as we’re paying for vanity, I’d rather pay to see my stats, than pay for armor pieces.
