Discord is now our only option. I sent you the link on Xbox.
Getting a lot of error codes. Try to see service record - error code. Try to go to forums, 3 or 4 attempts with error codes, then through. The menu across the top all becomes the same. Check stats after a game of Halo 5, says 0 kills, but shows assists. If it works and displays the last game, click on menu for breakdown and the screen turns into a strobe light.
I actually left off using the site for a few days, to see if it was some teething bugs. For me, at the moment anyway, the site is close to unusable. Is there anywhere, that I can send screenshots through to, of what is happening?
I am having a lot of problems with the service record. It displays incorrectly (if at all) and more often than not, it just gives an error number and flickers.
QUOTE FROM ANOTHER USER - I appreciate that explanation, really I do. Seems like someone finally took the time to thoroughly explain the process behind determining what changes to make in the transition from the old to the new. However, while you have a good point, I would argue that the new badges here have a similar incentive to push people into spamming. Perhaps not as much, since badges aren’t displayed as publicly as ranks were, but for instance there’s a badge for flagging a post, yet you would think that the need to flag a post would be rather uncommon. The fact there’s a badge for it seems to me like the idea is to tempt forum-goers into flagging random posts. Same idea could be applied to other cumulative badges - END QUOTE
I agree. Getting badges to flag posts sounds very petty to me.
Still getting used to it; I hope Gamerscore and achievements will come back in the future. Service award looks good but a special reward/badge for every Halo title completed would be neat.
k, this is really hard to get used to, and they don’t even have everything working, i like the old HW, it was a lot easier to navigate.
You gonna answer my Xbox messages about the server? It has details about it (maybe) and Biceps sent you the link and everything
I think you replied to my comment, but I can’t even tell which one, although I have an idea. This really sucks and it doesn’t even make sense because I’ve been a member for years now! I was an ODST as far as posts go!
Finally got the first release of my custom Light theme ready for anyone that wants to try it

It’s good. Just still having problems getting my Reach and Halo 3 stats to show on my service record though.
I absolutely hate it.
I don’t think it looks good. The font is terrible and hard to read-- trying hurts my eyes .
I’m also very sad all the stuff I had for my profile is gone. Rank, rare badges, rare avatar-- all gone. I also liked that all the avatars were Halo themed.
And in terms of using the forums, so far it feels needlessly convoluted and clunky. The old Waypoint forums felt a lot simpler and more intuitive to use.
Please bring back the old Waypoint, or at least have alternative looks for this. This is terrible and I might just stop engaging with it altogether.
One other thing I noticed with the level completion times on the new Waypoint in your Service Record is that it doesn’t show your best time for the level on the hardest difficulty that you finished the level on. So if you beat a level on Legendary but have a better time on Normal, it will show your time from your Normal completion, so this makes adding up your Legendary times a lot harder (especially since MCC combines your Halo 3 and ODST times).
I was wondering why Waypoint was showing my Covenant Halo 3 Co-op time as lower than my single player time, when my Legendary solo time is about 15 minutes better than my Co-op Legendary time (it is currently showing my Covenant time from when I beat it on Normal to get the par time).
Currently, I have to use the Waypoint phone app to check my level times, the phone app also shows the times in the minutes:seconds format, not the seconds.decimal format on the web Waypoint.
The new Waypoint shows wrong service records across the board, it doesn’t show the highest campaign level completed.
It looks and feels Halo, with anything it’ll take some getting used to with navigating the website etc. I am personally enjoying the new forums, and I’m looking forward to future additions to the experience. I’m still slowly working my way around the forums getting used to the new functionality of the website, which is fun in itself. I also like that you can earn badges and stuff from doing things around the forum. I’m a real sucker for completing and unlocking things, so I’m definitely excited to edit my page here and make it my own.
With all of the positive things I’m enjoying out of the way, I would like to add my opinion on not currently having access to the forum via the Waypoint app. It would be nice to have the app handy when I’m just hanging out at work or away from my pc. Not a huge problem, just a quality of life addition that I think would be pretty sweet.
Overall great job with the forums!
I’m just happy I’m able to participate. I was a dumb 20 year old and spam posted and got banned until 2552. I spent a couple years filling tickets with no response to get it lifted. Glad that’s all behind me.
That’s awesome! Not the banned part but the fact that it hasn’t carried over. Don’t squander your second chance friend!
I really am digging the new UI changes, I was never a fan of the white theme either. I think this change has me getting addicted to forum-making again, I’ve always wanted a dark theme. The UIs are pretty intuitive and easy to use which I love.
It’s a great look, I really like it. All the posts being on one page is easily my favorite change.
as someone who typically hates site redesigns nowadays, this Waypoint one is actually pretty good. SO far it seems like they mainly just streamlined a couple clunky parts of the site & updates the gfx & colors. Definitely not oversimplified though, which is a relief (I’m looking at you, Windows 11
)
I’m fine with the new waypoint although I can’t find any Achievement tracker like in Old Waypoint, which is a real shame, used that constantly while grinding matchmaking achievements.
