I have been a fan of halo since I first picked up my Xbox classic and I have enjoyed it thoroughly but now I feel different about it
i remember when halo was sold to 343 I didn’t really think much of it and when halo 4 was released I didn’t really think much of it I didn’t like the story that much and I thought the promethians were boring as a race and as an enemy. But I didn’t have any serious complaints because some games just aren’t for everybody.
then came halo 5 which I thought looked really fun it took me a while to get the game but I had some fun. At first when I saw microtransactions I thought what the hell are they doing in a full priced game that kind of stuff only belongs in mobile games but in the end I thought it’s that or paid dlc so I was happy with reqs. As I knew the days of buying the game and getting it are over. as dlc and season passes are in every game now
now comes halo wars 2 which when it was announced I was really hyped. And I was considering pre ordering the ultimate edition. Until I saw that microtransactions were going to be a thing
when I saw that I was furious. I mean people are paying full price for a game with dlc. And now your adding microtransactions…
i was one of the few that tried to support 343 but who am I kidding halo is being ruined. First with microtransactions IN A RTS. And now robotic a majority of robotic enemies. and no flood because they are trying to make halo more “kid friendly” I mean c’mon 343 you have potential to do great with the franchise but all you are doing is making bad decisions
p.s oh and just a word of advice 343. You can’t make an RTS with only 2 factions these days please add another one. pp.s thanks for reading
