I recently bought the Halo 4 OST I just have to say the entire soundrack is awesome and I genuinely like most of them. Unique sound for the new trilogy and really looking forward to hearing these in context in the game.
I will miss the variations of ‘Rock Anthem for Saving the World’ from the original trilogy composed by Martin O’Donnell, however Neil Davidge has done a great job on this soundtrack.
So what’s everyone thoughts on the soundtrack?
I really enjoy it. The main difference is that 4’s soundtrack sounds less “video gamey” and more cinematic. There are actually less individual songs on the track than previous Halo games and more “build up” songs.
The only song that sucks is nemisis. It’s pretty bad.
I like it a lot, one of the few game OST’s I’ve actually felt the need to buy.
I really enjoyed the soundtrack, my favorite so far is Legacy. I cant wait for my Limited Edition OST to get here so I can check out all the remix’s/goodies.
