While I absolutely LOVE the armor sets in Halo 5, I do want to address some things.
Things I like:
The amount of armor to choose from
The design of the armor
The unlock process
The amount of VISR colors.
Amount and designs of weapon skins
You get the idea, I just like how much choice there is
Things I don’t like:
The amount of armor to choose from
The unlock process
Seeker Armor
Selecting armor to use
Thoughts on the above:
While I love the amount of armor to choose from, this creates a problem for me. I can’t decided what armor I want to wear as there is too many I want. What do I do? I switch it up, but this is a problem too. Scrolling throw all the unlocked armor looking for what you want can take a while if you have it all. I enjoy the unlock process, believe it or not. But when you’re going after a certain thing, be it customization or certification, it can be a pain to not get what you’re after. The Seeker armor is the literal worst thing.
My solutions:
A potential solution to the selecting of armor to use would be to let us have different “customization loadouts”. Perhaps a tab with a few of our pre-made looks we could select on a whim if wanted. Another solution would be to allow us to favorite armor in the current customization tab for quick access. Another option would be to reduce the size of the list by removing skinned version of the armors from the list, showing just the image for the armor. When selecting that one, it would then let us choose which version to use.
Regarding the unlock system, I was thinking of a “cosmetics only” pack? Because while I DO care about certifications, I’m currently hunting the Decimator Armor. I am getting no armors, wanted or not, at all. Maybe even give us a “Certification only” pack? Might boost sales by doing this (I know I’d buy some)
Delete the Seeker Armor.
TL;DR
Delete the Seeker Armor
I know I’m a little late to this, but this post deserves attention. I think that either the armor loadout or a favorites option would be great. And either way each armor type should have sub menus for their skins. The menus for armor are pretty clunky as it stands currently.
I just wish we could sort by rarity / alphabetically tbh
Being Halo Reach’s customization back.

So you want more and easier to manage customization, except you want to remove one of the options because you don’t like it? More customization is always going to be better than less. There is no sense in removing any options.
I feel that there’s too much armour. Out of 200 I’d say maybe 20 get consistently worn. Even if they brought back the customization from Reach it’s be really difficult to get the armour you want because of the RNG Halo 5 insists on using wereas the Reach armour was usually a showcase of skill and dedication. In Reach if you saw a bloke in Mark VI with the storm armour effect you knew they were not to be trifled with, a trait only shared with Helioskrill in 5. Imagine if you say beat the campaign on easy you got a set of Fireteam Osiris armour or Blue team armour and you’d get different ones depending on difficulty, time taken and score. I also feel the armour designs are getting less practical, to go back to reach, every armour looked like it had some use with the compact design with everything that was needed there instead of just putting random lines and lights all over it. I do like the visor variety, even if we have like 10 slight variations on each colour and still no brown visor, I was always hoping for a nice green visor. Also (and this one’s quite a nitpick) Most post-bungie armours aren’t very symmetrical, my reason for only wearing the Recon, Mark V and Air Assault bodies on Halo 5 . I wish the Mark VI had just been the Halo 2 Mark VI. Anyone else want their emblems integrated into their armour.

No, actually credits were given due to playtime. Not skill. If I saw someone with something expensive early on I assumed they’d afk’d a whole lot. That was it. Someone who isn’t particularly good, who plays (or afks) through 10,000 matches won’t necessarily be better at the end of it.
Make it alphabetical and then when we scroll through all the armors we dont see all the variants. Instead we have it split as their base forms. Then if you click on that you can pull up their variants and choose from them. This way we can reduce the amount of scrolling and keep it organized. This also makes it feel like there isnt to many armors since they are all in their respective slots.

Please delete the Seeker Armor, 343i.

This is my biggest hope for Halo 6 if 343 wants to have this many armors (which I hope they do).
I hope that armor effects come back (like the reach ones like flames, hearts, pestilence etc) and to cuztomize more the colors, beeing able of choosing 3 colors, primary, secondary and the tertiary would be the colored undersuit parts (so we can be able to make the whole black undersuit or change It’s color to another), and to make stances useful in something like show the spartans in the stances they are customized in the intro or outro of the matches, and the most important, divide the req packs into 2 variants, cosmetic or Arena reqs, and one use or WZ reqs (each one with their bronze, steel and gold packs).
I really wish the there were more color options.
I wish the list of armors and helmets were grouped by variant, and selecting one gives you a dropdown list of each of the armor’s skins.
Something like
Mark IV Mark V, >Mark VI
Mark VI Primus, Mark VI Regent, Mark VI Satrap

I can’t stress this enough: Reach’s customization was alright. Now if they made it like Halo 4 and Reach’s that would be amazing.
More symmetrical armor PLEASE. I really like Locke’s armor, but its pattern is just gross. Also the campaign character’s under-suits would be nice to have too.
Trust me at this point this will never happen. It has been said over and over again and even I made a post couple of times on this.
Something tells me you are not a fan of the Seeker armor…

I know it won’t happen in Halo 5. I’m wanting it for future games.
