Entombed: I think it was a great idea to move it to tidal and change the textures of the walls and rocks. Thing is, the walls and pillars are reflecting way too much light… To the point it looks like plastic. Might wanna tone that down a bit.
Boulevard: Map looks great. Respawn points not so much. I don’t understand why I am being spawned next to the enemy especially when they are in a group. Map control is way too easy for this map. Much of the BTB maps are intended to be used with AR/Pistol starts yet 343i continues to use AR/BR. Please for the love of Halo switch it.
Basin: has not changed all that much besides the extra req weapons
Estuary: Its okay? I think it looks great but the gameplay is questionable.

Guillotine: Giving blue team the caster, wasp, and sniper in the beginning of the match and red team get’s nothing. SMH…
Unearthed. BEAUTIFUL ASTHETICS. ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. Really brings a feel of a dev made meridian map for BTB. Gameplay is great. I think it gets a little out of hand when 1 team has both wasps but thats what the rocket hog is for.
Update:
Antifreeze: I absolutely love this new version. Frames go down in certain parts of the area unfortunately. The map feels much more larger and I feel like there is a lot more cover. I only got a chance to play slayer and so far I think it plays a lot better with it.
Recurve: The whole I time I kept dying is because of the retexture of the map. LOL It plays okay though, map control seems to be a little easier but a team can easily lose that grip.
The new Recurve is fantastic. It plays so much better.

No btb has always been br/ar starts it won’t be competitive if you take the br away because it’ll only be two on the map and if a person gets it the rest of the players will get owned and that’s not fun or fair

It doesn’t matter what gets changed because the spawns are still awful on the Slayer maps.

I loved it because after playing CTF, getting across the map halfway was extremely easy for both sides. It is still fun to guess which they went, either the easy way or the long way. It was easy to chase down the carrier if they took the base teleporter, and having the end receiving teleporter kind of close to the base makes it a lot better to either defend or recap that flag.

- BTB is a social playlist, it’s not suppose to be competitive
- I can name twenty locations on Entombed where the BR spawns
- Show me proof of this because I’ve seen plenty of videos for BTB with magnum starts in customs and that never happens.
So far I have liked the look of virtually every map. However I don’t like how the gameplay has changed on a few of them as well. My main issue with them though is the sacrifice of the frame rate. My head literally hurts playing BTB now.

Yeah a couple of the maps are having some frame issue. The new look for antifreeze is great, it plays really well for slayer now, but there a lot of bad frame spots on that map. Hopefully they can fix it.
Other than the framerate drops, I like the new versions of the maps. Recurve and Viking are much better now. Although I hope they continue to work on the spawns in Forge. You can get some pretty terrible spawns.

There are terrible spawns in every halo game lol. I’m sometimes okay with it. Some maps are really good with spawn locations.

The map designers have said themselves that the BTB maps were created with Magnum starts in mind, so your point is invalid.
I’ve only been able to get matches on Dispelled, Unearthed, Altar, Boulevard, and Eagle Square. Have to say, Dispelled is easily my favorite BTB map so far.
I haven’t played them all yet, but I am loving Dispelled, Estuary, and Unearthed. Alter plays a lot better too.

The BR was made into a more powerful weapon in this game compared to others. It wasn’t meant to be a starting weapon. The Pistol was made to have very similar characteristics to the BR in older games, and the fact that it is a 5-shot-kill instead of a 4-shot-kill means that in a 2-on-1 situation at least one of the 2 have to get 3 shots on the 1 instead of both needing to get 2. It makes fighting multiple enemies a little easier, and rewards skill as it has less bullet magnetism. Lastly, the fact that it has a shorter Red-Reticle-Range means that you don’t have to hide behind cover all game or be worried about getting shot at from across the map. It’s a win-win buy switching to the Pistol from the BR.
Where did you come up with the idea that there would only be 2 BRs on the map? Obviously it’s based on map design and balance, but there can be however many BRs on the map as the creators and 343i want.

None of it matters because it needed to be refreshed in the first place and I never even played it because it wasn’t there for the duration until I got bored of the game and left.
