- From my estimation I would need to play roughly 1-2 hours every day of the battle pass to reach level 100. If I miss three days because of life events then I may have to double up for a few days just to get back on track. - If you only have a few days of the week to play then you are also at a disadvantage because you get progressively less xp with every few games played per day. - Generally a Battlepass that doesn’t expire is good, but by the time i get around to finishing one, there will already be another that I am behind on. The best armor will be at the end of each pass, so I will likely just have to choose between the one I like best. - No career rank and a bunch of unfinished battlepasses won’t feel rewarding or properly flaunt personal achievement. - The Battlepass will be difficult to finish for anyone who doesn’t no-life the multiplayer. I have never finished a battlepass in any game even when playing daily. Playing that much makes me take a long break from burn out. - I play other games and have other things to do. I don’t want all the good armors to be locked behind a pass. A variety of challenges with verying difficulty should unlock most armors instead.I’m just ranting to say: Please give me a career rank like Reach!
If you skip some daily challenges, Halo Infinite should give you a free xp bonus that won’t expire until a certain xp threshold had been met, similar to what Fortnite does.
Reaching the end of the Battlepass should be a reward for players who actively play the game and put the time in. If I could play for a week and unlock 100 tiers it wouldn’t be much of a battlepass. Also, these Battlepasses are going to last about two months or three months each, so even a casual player or someone who doesn’t have alot of time will have plenty of oppurtunity to get alot of goodies. If you can’t reach the end of the pass as fast as players who dedicate alot of time to the game, that’s just the way it’s supposed to work. With the way challenges are right now it shouldn’t be very difficult to unlock at least 2 tiers within the span of an hour or two.
Exotic or legendary armors I feel should be reserved for those who put the time in anyway.
I will also say that 343 has already discussed the topic of having a career rank like Reach, Halo 3, 4 and 5, and they said they like the idea and that alot of things will be coming to the game post-launch. there’s no time for them to add such a feature right now but i’m sure we’ll get something to show off our veterancy after the game comes out.
