Edit: Original post, I said they should sell legendary XP boost req packs. Turns out they already do, it’s just kinda hidden.

Ya know kid, I think you’re on to something!! I really like this idea, and as I’m burning through my xp boosts faster than I can acquire them, this is a great idea. I’d even take it a step further (and watch me anger some people at this point)… so I’m a completionist when it comes to video games. I try to get 100% of achievements, unlockables, find all the stuff in game… well, can’t really do that with Halo 5 now, there’s a few armour pieces and numerous emblems I won’t be getting. I think they could also market a “nostalgia pack”, offer up the emblems and armours that people can’t unlock anymore (seasonal emblems come to mind) and bam!! There ya go… haters are gonna say “hey… you weren’t playing when they offered it… your loss” and they’re right, I wasn’t playing FOUR years ago as I didn’t have xbox live gold then… or I had the beta, but didn’t have gold then let alone internet. And to the other naysayers who are going to tell me that they’re coveted and I need to earn them, umm… I’ve got 20 days of gameplay… roughly 3k matches (firefight and arena) and never once saw anyone with an area or beta or any of those other “coveted” time sensitive emblems. In short… yes… I think they should offer some new “boost” REQ packs, maybe take one of the bundles down from the in game store and permanently put that in its place… it could certainly be done…

I say leave Timmy, Olive, and Achilles for people to earn. I think Nightfall, Fotus, and Helioskrill are in req packs now. Personally I don’t care about emblems or HCS skins

I only care enough to have my all my counts at 100% and my circles full… I can see everything on my req page and I for sure will never use any of the emblems or skins… and I agree with you about achilles and timmy… I just have no idea what an olive is… just started playing halo 5 online in july…

Olive is named after a stuffed pig in forge who’s in turn named after a dev’s pet pig. You get it if your map makes it into matchmaking. I’ve never seen it in person.

Believe it or not the Legendary XP packs are on the Microsoft Store for sale already. The page is just hidden, you need a direct link to access the page. They’ve always been available just not shown in game or on the Xbox store.

So an armour I’ll never get then… got it. I have not a single talented bone in my body, let alone being a lucky one to get one selected by 343 for any sort of matchmaking anything… and luckily, it doesn’t count toward progress in unlocks. Pretty sure I’ll unlock the achilles armour, just not the helmet, so I’m kinda screwed there, and I already unlocked Timmy… that was sort of easy…

I know you can they have more on the xbox live store (can even get to it from your computer), where you can access more reqs than what’s available in game… didn’t know legendary ones were in there… but I know all the team ones are, plus a few others I believe, if that sort of thing matters. Definitely have to pay real money though, which is a downer for us poor folk… but hey… I’ll find a way somehow…
