Those yoinking yoinkers

I swear this yoinking game is yoinking rigged this yoinker betrays me 3 yoinking times and when i decide to get a little revenge and betray him I YOKING GET BOOTED WHAT THE YOINK IS THAT YOINK!!!

I think the correct term for this is ‘horrible booting system’.
Many, many, many other people have voiced their aggravation with the boot system. Nothing will probably be done in Reach about it. I hope 343i improves it in Halo 4.

I have a recording of me betraying at least three teammates. (all accidental of course, stick enemy and enemy sprints into my teamate.) After the second betrayal I stopped caring. I even stuck a teammate because he ran in front of me. Luckily, he also ran to my intended target. Really glad the ban hammer saw this as -Yoink- innocent, because each betrayal still killed an enemy. And I had the highest score on my team even with the negative 3 or four points.

TMY;DR

Too Many Yoinks; Didn’t Read.

that’s how many assassinations I stole lol

Yoinking is bad, however there are times when it’s not the yoinkers fault.

You have to know when to beat down and when to assassinate. Assassinations are ok when there aren’t any enemies or teammates around you. But beat downs are for when you’re surrounded by enemies or teammates. Plus, if someone is shooting someone and gets their shields down, and you assassinate the shieldless person, chances are you’ll get yoinked. However, if you beat the shieldless person down, you steal the kill and it’s a guarantee. Also, never yoink your teammate in “order to save him,” because 90% of the time, the teammate will shoot you instead. I know, because whenever someone yoinks me, especially if there’s an enemy near by, i’ll remove my teamates shield and shoot him twice with a DMR. Then, I’ll hide.

Do you know how they can fix it in Halo 4?.. take out friendly fire except in playlists where it doesn’t really make a difference.

I’d personally like to see some sort of intention-analyzer. It’d take a crapload of coding and testing, but (if done right) it’d work!

I don’t think there’s anything that can be done in Reach about it, other than another TU, which is highly unlikely.

If you take out friendly fire Halo is officially dead. Instead, take out the pointless quit bans, pointless mute bans, pointless booting, and just let games with teamkillers dissolve by quitting. Possibly, let negative/tk points take away score.

Let fall what cannot stand. It’s absolutely essential for good matchmaking that games that can no longer be played properly are allowed to dissolve. This way most problems are fixed easily.

Automated booting systems punish legit mistakes and forgives intentional teamills. Player voting is either rigged or useless if there’s too many. Angry players cannot be trusted to give correct responses. Taking out FF kills the sandbox. The only 100% reliable solution is to make tk’s take away from your score a reasonable amount and otherwise let games with unplayable teamkilling dissolve by quitting.

I was making a joke about how many ‘yoinks’ he put in there. he was really talking about the ‘dirty’ boot system
