Or if they didn’t, any reason they didn’t enjoy it? Do they like other video games instead or just not at all?
I have been obsessed with gaming since I was 3 or 4. My son is only a couple months old, but if he is anything like me he will be gaming before too long ha.
I don’t have a kid but typically kids will pick up a game they can explore and they can understand the narrative. Its supposedly beneficial to introduce harder games as it develops the brain to think more complex faster but a game like Halo might come later down the road, maybe from watching you play he will want to play.
Theirs also a acute sense of community as a kid, if he has friends that talk about Fortnite or whatever new game that is out that could sway him away from Halo since all kids want to do is play together.
My kids are 6 and 3, when they’re young I put broken controllers in their hands and they thought they were playing. My 6 year old now plays on his real controller. My advice: save broken controllers, they stay distracted for a little bit, which is nice.

My son is is 3 1/2. While I haven’t put a controller in his hand yet, he does know how to turn on an Xbox One console from the controller, and has sat and watched me play Pokémon.
