That the “haters” care enough about this game.
Take a look at this
You think the hate and rage before Halo 4’s launch was bad, you ain’t seen jack until you seen that and this is just from a reveal, people, a simple reveal from the Campaign. That thread has yet to be taken down.
Just saying…the community here may be tough and full of people who defend Halo 4 and full of people who fight and attack because they care about the franchise, but all people want is a move in the right direction for Halo 4. Whether you fight or defend this game is your own view. But the negative thrashing tops even what people do here.
… that’s pretty accurate for how the Waypoint forums were before we even saw gameplay.
But yes, many of us who do complain, Complain because we care about the franchise. I complain because I feel the game should be fun for everyone, and right now it’s only fun for a few people.

I respect any person who can give constructive criticism and suggestions on how to improve the game. However, I also tend to see a lot of people that scream, “HALO IS DEAD!”, “HALO IS LIKE COD!”, “I QUIT!” or “HALO SUCKS! DESTINY ALL THE WAY!”. In my eyes, these individuals are extremely immature.
There’s a difference between complaining and criticizing. For example, complaining about Forge Island on the basis that it should have been in the game to start with, is not constructive criticism. It doesn’t help to complain about that, it only fills your personal need to justify your anger at 343, not improving the game. I don’t appreciate it, nor do many others.

That’s 100x worse then the Waypoint forums were when Halo 4 got revealed back in 2011 though. These forums are calm compared to that.

This is true.

I understand that, but the thrashing against DICE in that thread is nothing like you’d see here. That’s what I’m speaking about whether its negative hate or negative criticizm.
Hell, getting a bit off topic here but look at BF3, that game is still played, however the updates for it are huge, plus I don’t see any Game Dev interaction of those forums. Jump back to here, the mods are active, and do go into threads, plus BS Angel interacts with us also. The “haters” try and communicate with 343 as we do here. But where is the Game Dev support for the BF forums? It’s what I’m speaking about. The community here is far better then a lot of other communitys that care aboiut Halo and you have people here that fight because they care about the franchise.
I have said many times that the community should be standing together rather than divided over silly issues, mostly involving the competitive side. We should all be working together to change things for the good for everyone. What the community needs to realize is that change takes time. Call-outs, hostile demands, hate threads, these are things that will have 343 back away from the table. We should conduct ourselves in a professional manner when addressing change. Together, we can make Halo great again, divided, my brothers, we will fail.

That likely will never happen as it hasn’t happened since Halo 2. But it’s really the point of my OP that theres still people who care for Halo that are on these forums. You don’t see much of that anywhere else.

I’d debate that. After having to moderate this forum? You’d be surprised. It’s about the same. All forums are. Different game, same content.
Let’s keep the discussion to just Halo and our community, please. Let’s not point fingers :). I’m going to lock this thread.
