I hope the skulls in Halo CEA will be static and be initially spawned by default when the map loads.
If I have to perform some special series of tricks or checkpoints before the skulls appear [like IWHBYD from Halo 2] then I will be extremely upset and I will complain to 343 every single day until they issue a patch to remediate that gross fault.
I liked how they did it in Halo 3. Hidden but you didn’t have to jump through hoops to make them appear.

Haha, I see what you did there…

Haha, but I am actually serious. I own Halo CE, 2, 3, ODST, Wars, Reach, and pre-ordered CEA. I have never in my entire gaming experiences had the IWHBYD skull spawn in the outskirts of New Mombassa. It never spawned for me. I copied several other gamers’ paths and methods directly off the internet, and the skull never spawned. It’s that kind of poor, erroneous programming that I am hoping to avoid in Halo CEA.

Sorry, just having a bit of fun. I actually do agree though.
Forget about the boring routines. Those are nothing compared to the Ultra Elite waves. I mean I picked up the skull (I haven’t actually done it yet) and now I have to fight for it?! Imagine Bungie placing a Covenant energy barrier in front of the skull… would have made it more tolerable as it would have given me a reason to fight for it. And glitch past the barrier and get it without fighting the Ultra Elites.
Oh who am I kidding? I just too lazy to get IWHBYD. Bring it on Ultras!!
What about allowing players to pick up the skull in the first place? For a long time I thought the IWHBYD skull was fake; an internet farce. I was convinced it didn’t exist because it never spawned for me. The only reason I believe it exists is because my friends swear to have gotten it, themselves.
As far as I’m concerned, requiring special tricks to spawn a skull in such a buggy, poorly programmed way as IWHBYD is plainly unethical and precipitates a low-quality gaming experience.
