They’re Carbines, the uncommon one is the same skin as ‘light of urs’ and the rare one is the needle carbine we’ve seen in the teaser and a couple of images, and it also has the same skin as ‘pool of radiance’ which is the final tier of the fuel rod cannon, notice how all the faction weapons have the skin patterns for tiers? like how the UNSC weapons get red and green lines over them for the first upgrade, and become white with the same lines for the second one? if it was a suppressor, it’d likely have orange lines on the uncommon one, and orange and blue lines on the rare one.

No. They’re Carbines.
technically in gun terms, a “carbine” is a short barreled rifle variant. but it is an alien firearm so standard human designation may not apply in this case
