When I read that those 2017 helmets could be unlocked by play H5, first thing that came to mind was unlocking them through commendations. I could be wrong but this is speculation from how I interpreted it. It could be the next Achilles 
EDIT: A good fella just told me that the helmets are acquirable with req points, sorry about that ^
But would that mean the commendations I’ve already got would be reset? As I have a lot of the commendations so I would be pretty annoyed if that happened.
I think they will probably just arrive in req packs again, but having to unlock them would be refreshing and keep me interested until me and my company finally unlock the achillies helmet

They do say that you will unlock them by playing the game,maybe through achievements,halo 3 style.

As timmy the kid says above, it was confirmed to be available with RP so thats why I feel that it may just be req aquired, but only time will tell

That’s kinda disappointing,but if it’s a major amount of RP then I will still feel like I unlocked something.

So you need to pay Reqpoints directly to get them?
Whether you pay RP or not I’m just glad to have them. Locking them behind achievements would only piss people off who hadn’t unlocked those achievements, however it would show a determined halo player, rather than through RNG, it’s a split decision.

Yeah I agree, will most likely be normal req pack RNG. Maybe using the word ‘unlock’ was a poor choice on 343s part, but I guess its not incorrect, just seems some people believe that implies an unlock prerequisite like commendations/achievements.
With the 2017 helmets, I hope there is a chance they are accompanied with their own armor sets as well. It seems many believe it will just be normal rng packs to get the helmets, but I am wanting achievements especially for the Halo Reach Recon, but then 343 would have to justify making Helioskrill achievement based only and then allowing it in rng packs. Best chance it is going to be through pack purchases.

I think armour sets to go with them would be good I dont think they have released a helmet yet that didn’t have a body to match other than the Timmy and olive ones.
