Thom-293 is a respectable member of the Noble team. He was one of the many soldiers that were transformed into super-humans through the SPARTAN-III program. Thom fancies Mark V armor, and prefers to use the jetpack armor attachment, which allows him to get the most strategic view of the battlefield. Little know of the bravery that 293 would show during the Battle of Fumirole and ultimately cause him to attain the operation’s goal. He played a special role in a risky operation.
Lieutenant Commander Catherine-B320, upon who the nickname Kat was thrown onto, has formulated a plan. This plan involves destroying a CCS-class battlecruiser that was stationed over a city. “This is it!”, Thom shouted to the rest of the team in assurance that this was a crucial mission. Commander Carter nodded in his direction, Jorge swiftly patted 293’s shoulder, but the rest of the team remained in silence.
There was a strange intensity among the group as they were being transported by Falcon to batted down, destroyed city of Fumirole. Jun managed to spit out, “This is a suicide mission!”. Kat shifted slightly in her seat, but no person managed to return a response. He then retrieved a light green, dented, and scratched box from under his seat. The box was unlatched, which unraveled to reveal the weapon in which Jun was most skilled in: The Sniper Rifle.
The Falcon was approaching the Landing Zone, but it was already beholden to enemy fire. The Noble Team touched the ground, but moments later, a heated Covenant plasma rifle bullet found the pilot’s head. Thom looked, and closely ahead, a Sangheili was impaling a marine with its godly energy sword. From the intel about the Covenant he had scanned over, he recalled that only the higher ranks of the Elites were permitted to use such Forerunner technology. The Elite thrust the Marine’s corpse to the dirt, then sprinted with god speed towards Thom. His energy sword retracted back to the base, and he hopped into the air in the direction of the Spartan. In midair, several things occured. An energy dagger was revealed on the Sangheili’s forearm, and Jun pulled a trigger, which sent a bullet into the throat of the Elite.
