This would never happen with bungie.

Just saying 343i screwd the season pass up. Bungie would never let this happen.

i lol’d

you realize bungie’s halo team is most of 343i’s — right?

This is MS’s fault not 343’s.

Same thing happened with Gears of war season pass and most likely other season pass games.

Most likely this would have happened if Bungie used this system as well. They aren’t faultless.

This issue will be solved in time, and tommorow, when you have the map pack, you’ll look at today and it won’t matter.

Yes. It could very much happen to BUNGIE just as well as 343i.

It’s time to stop being blind and open your eyes, you can keep crying for Bungie all day. 343i is doing their job right.

It spreads from person to person.

In reality, you could count the Ex-BUNGIE members with one hand.

Because its true? Go down the employee list. Compare Halo 3 to Halo 4. Let us know what you find.

Xbox Live problems happen all the time. It’s not the developers fault.

I remember the Noble map pack not showing up on time then the actual bumper appearing over a day later, so in a way, it’s probably an error on Xbox Live and not 343i

It could have happened with Bungie. But the thing is that it’s consistently happening with Halo 4.

343i is constantly having issues and they should have known better! This isn’t their first time around the block. I’ve had nothing but problems with Halo 4.

The amount of people from bungie that is in 343 you can count on your hand they are widely outnumbered.

However one interesting note another developer team which is also made up a few ex-bungie members helped make halo 4 forge worlds tools. They are called Certain Affinity.

Bungie actually regretted halo reach’s online, they have said them selves they signed off the halo contract long before realizing “reach” that’s why the game lacked any depth and the online was abysmal. The maps BUNGIE actually realized where all forge maps with little to no design effort put in. Simple because they felt there was no need to put effort in as they didn’t have resonsiblilty of the franchise anymore. < what does this tell you ? easy… it tells you bungie couldn’t give a toss about its fans for halo. So don’t start a thread/topic where the first thing you say is “bungie wouldn’t let this happen” because the sad truth is, they already did a long time ago.

Don’t have to, I know who is from Bungie, certainly not MOST, not even close.

It’s like people don’t realize this is the first time a map pass has happened with a Halo game, and that 343 is a new developer that has taken over. Things are bound to get screwed up here and there.

I do not support everything about 343, but this is a tech issue that can at least be resolved.

Let’s just hope this won’t be like how PS3 does not get Skyrim/Fallout DLC in a timely matter. If that kind of time passes (months on end), then start complaining.

such limited memories… every single map pack released by bungie never came out at a certain time, people stayed up into the wee hours of the night, waiting to download them, sometimes only to find they weren’t released till morning… guess what I did when I saw the maps weren’t there? I came here, saw a million other people mentioning it, figured it had to be a screw up, shrugged it off and then went and played some SWAT! Go play some matchmaking and when it updates it updates.

We usually get DLC Tuesday for games on Xbox live stop complaining.

Guess what? Bungie is not in charge anymore, and your post is not going to change it… and you should feel bad.

343i aren’t the sole problem, and neither are MS. Changing industry standards unfavorable to consumers is the problem imo.

It wouldn’t be so bad if this wasn’t literally the third game I’ve purchased a pass for that didn’t let me download the covered DLC in a timely manner, but let people purchasing them individually access them right away.

Saints Row The Third (which was disappointing overall to begin with)
WWE '12
Halo 4

And there are several other examples that I didn’t take part in personally. It’s becoming a near industry norm, and that’s sad and a big thumb in the eye of the customers most trying to support the games they love. There are already so many hoops gamers have to jump through to access basic gameplay content today. The more obstacles they place between customers and their content, quite understandably, the more frustrated and disgruntled they become.

Such complaints would not be looked upon as strange or unwarranted in any other industry. Yet in gaming, if someone complains about it, people are just told that they’re self-entitled, demanding, and impatient. I mean, it’s not as if we purchased the content and already paid for it, after all, right?

Right? …
