Okay, so there are two sides, one’s that like Halo 5 the way it is, and one’s that want Halo 5 to be like the old Halo’s. I’m gonna try to be as neutral to this as I can. There is one thing 343i could easily do that would solve everybody’s problem. The way there is a setting in Arena for matchmaking (Expanded, Balanced, Focused), they could add a setting right below it that says “Current” and “Classic”. whichever mode the player is playing on, all the arena game modes use the rules of the setting. Like Classic could have no Spartan abilities, since this is something a lot of people don’t like. Those people would be match made with other people that also use this setting. This is something a big company, like 343i, could easily put in an update, and it would make pretty much everyone happy. I personally don’t think it would be a good idea to have this in Warzone, since it’s a “Halo 5 Game mode”. This setting could apply to all Arena games.
Comment any thoughts that you have, and hopefully 343i will read this post.
I just want Halo Reach’s ranking and customization back. That and invasion. There was nothing wrong with that UI.
The problem is the maps and gun balance don’t really fit right for this kind of setup, you would need to boost base speed and or change the maps.
Halo 5 guns are also extremely accurate at range due to expanded map size and while this would possibly work with boosted movement on the current maps I’m not sure that everyone wants to be zooming round at 150% speed.

The maps are designed with the new abilities in mind. They would have to make drastic changes to accommodate the old ways. So I don’t see this happening.
They can make a classic playlist with the best hand crafted classic forge maps and maybe some of the smallest dev H5 arena maps
