It’s a big bummer to log in this week being excited to grind the game and see the reward for this week is THE SAME EMBLEM WE’VE HAD TWO WEEKS IN A ROW. I understand this one is an armor emblem and the others were for different thing but there is NO reason these emblems shouldn’t have been combined into one single weekly reward. How much more incentivizing would it have been to grind these HORRIFIC challenges if we got the emblem for ALL the vectors. Armor weapon vehicle Spartan tag etc. it seems like they just have no content to give us so they spilt everything 16 ways so they can drip feed it to us and call it a “LiVE sERvicE”
Also I’m convinced 343 had no plans after launch. We aren’t even two months into this multiplayer and the store is ALREADY looping cosmetic items. Like really? 6 years and you guys don’t have enough stuff to keep the store fresh for more than two months? Give me a break. Pathetic.
Normally I can see things from the devs point of view but you are 100% correct. There is no reason for having the same emblem for 4 different weekly rewards. It just seems lazy. It doesn’t even make sense it terms of monetization because these are all FREE rewards.
The only reason why I liked this weeks store was because I didn’t get the Anubis armor set the last time it came around (I was out that week and I love the Anubis armor). Granted, the ultimate reward does feel a little underwhelming. They could have had some of the bundles they sold in the store as the ultimate reward as a way of playing for free without paying for them down the line. Instead, we usually just get emblems and the odd visor here and there. Honestly, last week was the only time I beat the weekly challenge because I wanted to participate in the Tenrai event, not because I wanted the reward in general.
Yeah, seems like a F2P strategy to ensure there’s always content available. I think 343i called that having the most combination of customizations ever.
Ironically, they are “sacrificing” consumer satisfaction.
Hopefully come season 2 we can choose which weekly capstone reward we want to work toward. Choose the current weekly reward OR any previous reward.
I would LOVE to see store credits become a capstone reward at some point. If 343 are short on cosmetic items (clearly they’re not but I digress) there should be no reason this can’t happen.
I understand those who missed out on an armor set they wanted would be happy to see it back in the store. But like I said, it’s been like 3-4 weeks since we saw Anubis last? Like do they have NO other armor sets to put in the store instead? Like this game is feeling stale already and it’s frustrating. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be logging in EVERY DAY and seeing NEW stuff in the store. New armors. New visors. New miscellaneous cosmetics. But SOOO much stuff has been looped already. Stale.
well that is really lame… not sure if there is really a reason to grind this week then. Might as well play some other games to fill my time (Hunt Showdown & Project Zomboid)
Oh absolutely. They really need to change the store a bit so they have more daily updates, cause it is boring seeing only that one minor daily update in that sad little bit of sprites near the end of the screen. I’m still trying to get the remaining achievements, which mostly focus on BTB, and I’m avoiding that list like the plague till it gets fixed. That and the LASO achievement which is on my to do list.
I totally agree. But working within the existing framework- there’s no excuse other than pure lack of content/imagination for things to be looping at the rate they are
While I’m glad they’re giving Anubis armor a second sweep… I am NOT glad that they STILL think it’s a $20 bundle with no option to earn it, since credits cannot be earned through gameplay, especially since it appeared in a previous game’s unlock progression.
