I personally don’t mind that the weekly rewards are trash. Makes me not feel like I’m missing out on anything major by not doing them, and then I don’t have to get frustrated playing a bunch of game types I despise.

Wowie zowie they really are using these as buffers for content to figure out what to make, or give out next week. Probably have to consult the marketing department too and what not.
An answer for 343 if they wonder why we hate these emblems compared to previous halos.
Simple, previous halos allowed US to CREATE our own emblem and color it however we wanted. AND they were actually visible on the shoulder of the spartan in mp. In this Game, have you seen, like actively SEEN and noticed an emblem someone was wearing IN GAME I’ve noticed the heart emblem on the Yoroi when in the menus, not in game… but that’s about it
But if they do them as a bundle reward they will run out of content before the end of their 10 yr live service…
No but real they are showing they weren’t competent enough to handle a Live service, honestly I don’t think Halo itself works well as a live service. Things like COD did cus the they started you off with all the basic stuff that previous games had, or at least made you earn it in game, while the store and Battlepass offered more unique and flavorfull items.
Fortnite also pumps out content on the daily that is nice.
Where as Halo it’s like hey guys here’s a helmet nothing special about it it’s just a standard helmet that you unlock like 1 minute into all previous Halo games but now you get to pay 20 bucks for it… Exciting.

i get it that suits are making alot of really stupid decisions the devs have to go along with…but is it really to much to ask for some common sense in marking/sales? any 30yro halo fan that still games could have told them this was going to go bad fast.
like they could have cloned the COD shop and it would have been a hundred times better.
I find it disgusting that we have to earn the same emblem several times, which to make matters worse is not the great emblem, I will not play this week.

Challenge is to get 3 double kills in PvP, just got 4, challenge still says 0/3.

I love Infinite’s core gameplay, but the lack of content, progression, and rewards are killing it’s replay value. How am I supposed to get excited about them treating one Jpeg like this four separate items?
Absolutely daft, all 4 variations of this emblem should’ve been a single ultimate reward unlock.

They do the same with the in store bundles, I believe the last 2000 credit bundle was just 1 Armor Effect and 1 emblem… It they counted that emblem as 4 items, it’s just one universal item.
They label.it like that it’s like they are going look your getting more, when it’s like no I’m getting the same thing,
They really suck at doing Live service games. Like they really are showing they are incompetent at love service game development.

Disagree. If anything we should need to unlock the emblem individually for each weapon, each core, and each vehicle, along with all 8 color variations. That way we’ll have years worth of content to unlock.

I resolved to just dodge this week’s challenge.
- I don’t even like the Sacrifice Emblem. It’s too noisy for an armor emblem, at least for me.
- My Collar attachment hides the Emblem ANYWAY
- I’m tired. I want to play BTB on new maps and I want to play 8v8 not 12v12

Sometimes I think 343i are actually trying to sabotage their own game. Some of their decisions just don’t make sense…it’s as if they’ve read a dummies guide on how to make a F2P live service game…and then realised they only studied the chapter on “what not to do”.
Here is what I suspect is happening. I think two things are happening:

They’re trying to stretch out the “good” weekly unlocks (Jan 6th Visor for Tenrai Event, Dec 9th Sniper Coating, Nov 25th Willow Tea for Tenrai, Launch Week the Visor that everyone got), which seemed to have a more frequent cadence closer to launch, but now it looks like we’re going a full month between good unlocks. Everything else has been an emblem/nameplate/background.

They’re trying to see what they can get away with. And I don’t mean that as some nefarious or bad thing. I think they’re specifically looking for data to see what the community’s reaction will be to a third week of the same emblem. It might seem obvious to us, but actual hard data speaks louder than forum comments. And if the numbers show that players who earned this emblem previously aren’t sticking around to earn it again, they’re gonna use that data to inform future choices.
Hence why my first comment was that everyone should be making a big stink about this. Not any kind of meanness toward the devs, but if you feel like doing something else this week to consciously not earn this emblem, might be worth it to object with your in-game time.
I know I’m certainly not going to go out of my way to earn this weekly

No even better, they should give us Half the Emblem one week, half the Emblem the following week…that way they can say it’s double the content

Do I need to submit a support ticket? I’ve been playing all day, at least 40 games, and I’m not progressing the “Buddy System” challenge. I’ve played FFA, BTB, Team and Tactical slayer and Fiesta.
I’ve gotten at least 15 “Double Kill” Medals including Solo, Clean ups, Sword and Rocket kills.
What more do I need to do to progress this stupid challenge!?
