Just a request to 343, please give the reward for this one out for free like you did the week 1 reward. I’ve spent maybe the last hour trying to connect to BTB games while watching YouTube, and I’ve only managed to play a single game. And in that game I clearly splattered two people, but because of server desync either my position or the enemy’s position was off, and nothing happened. BTB is just broken right now, so expecting people to do a challenge in it is… questionable.
It’s weird… I’m having the issues people are having in BTB as well. But occasionally I can connect.
I actually did a few BTB’s earlier, allowing me to complete several challenges and fly through Rank 94 to 95. Trying to snag 96 so I can actually get a good Mark VII helmet for my Mark VII Spartan…
I’d recommend doing this challenge in Fiesta, that’s how I managed.

Doesn’t Fiesta only have one map that even potentially has vehicles?
Two maps. Launch site and behemoth. Though launch site is probably the harder one since you have to catch people in the hallway basically.
I actually managed to complete this fine by doing BTB matches. Speaking solely from my own experience on my Xbox Series X, I can still get into BTB games albeit having to normally suffer through a couple minutes of “Lost Connection To Dedicated Servers” or something like that before I eventually get in one.
And, yes, even if I get one there’s the chance of landing in 6 vs 11 matches or something like that.
But I was able to get this Weekly done fine after a few hours. Managed to get into the very ultimately rare Banshee on Deadlock and used its most powerful weapon (ramming) to get two splatters, got two more with a Ghost on another game before I sadly got highjacked as I was getting my third, which left me to join a Total Control match on Deadlock where I immediately got into a Warthog with a gunner, drove towards the nearest point where an enemy Warthog was racing towards it as well, and when the passenger got out I immediately ran him over 
Glad it happened too cause that match was a 11 vs 6 game and most of my teammates left afterwards, leaving me and two others to cower in a corner for the rest of the match while the other team grabbed the rest of the points. But I got my last splatter so I was happy.
That all said though, yes I think 343 should give away this Challenge Reward free due to the obvious problems with BTB and how they knew a fix for it wasn’t coming until way after this Challenge was rotated out.
Unless they changed something fiesta has 2, Launch site and Behemoth.
I got it done in 4’s by getting those two maps with vehicles on them.
I was able to get mine done in BTB. It took 4 matches that I could actually connect and didn’t get dropped from. I think I got dropped from 2 other matches and I had to restart the game a few times when the connectiing to game bugged out.
Ultimately it wasn’t a bad challenge for me but 343 needs to address the BTB issues.
For future reference, if you’re on Xbox and stuck in that game connection loop that I believe you’re referring to, you can hit Select where it shows your Fireteam (as well as the match you’re trying to join) and you can hit X to stop it without having to restart the game. Might have to quickly hit X a couple times but it does stop and you can try searching another one.

Nah, I know the loop you’re talking about, but that’s not the issue. I gave up after 2 hours solid of being unable to connect to BTB games. I’d either just get an “unable to connect to server” style message, or I’d get booted after the countdown completed and just stalled at flashing :01 over and over again.

Try setting you’re fireteam to open instead of friends or private. This apparently gives more success. It took me 5 min to get a BTB game like this.
Thanks for this. It took me 6 games to get the right map, but I just got 6 splatters in one Fiesta game.
