It’s a weapon emblem. It’s supposed to be a warthog.
But when you try to put it on a weapon, you can’t even see it. It basically ends up just looking like a smudge that just blends in with the weapon. The emblem itself needs a contrasting background as part of the emblem to actually make it visible.
I know the weekly rewards aren’t usually very good but this one is absolutely worthless. And I’m sure when they decide to use the exact same thing as an armor emblem it will be just as bad.

The rewards gets worse every week. Haven’t wanted a single thing since the Tea Armor Coating at the beginning. Luckily for me, that means I don’t have to play most weeks.
Yes, I didn’t even try for it. The real question is who cares?? With the ranked reset coming next week and hopefully a much better Season 2 coming in a few months, I’m glad they ain’t wasting time on weekly challenges.
If 343 was to take these weekly challenges seriously, they need to be way more creative to make them challenging. Overkills are a challenge. Win 3 ranked matches is not…Create challenges that encourage team play. Things Iike drop a weapon for a teammate or assist a flag cap.
The whole challenge system needs an overhaul so ignoring it for now is best. Glad to see they are just giving us junk from the bottom of the pile rather than offering up rare stuff that everyone will get too easily.
Sometimes I wonder how many people actually try to earn the weekly rewards at this point.
When people were working to finish their Season 1 Battle Pass, that was the incentive to do the challenges and the rewards were mostly an afterthought. Now that most people who cared about finishing the Battle Pass are done, do people actually care about challenges and the weekly reward?
Shouldn’t that be the point of the weekly reward? To give people something to work towards? But if they are just giving away crap that doesn’t even work even if you want to use it… What’s the point?
You will be disappointed if you expect any improvement for either of these 2 things.
343 has already said they were being “too generous” so I wouldn’t expect anything to be better.

Yup. And I tried it with a bunch of different weapon skins and couldn’t find any that you could see the emblem to be more than a smudge looking thing.
Lol I hate this argument “who cares” lol idk me!? It’s the most consistent stream of unlockable free content in the game and it’s shxt. MANY people have completely the battle pass at this point and watch their XP get flushed down the toilet every game. The LEAST 343 could do for some of infinites most dedicated players is to make the weekly unlocks even somewhat desirable. We need armor unlocks, visor unlocks, armor coatings for the weekly rewards. Not worthless stickers for our guns and vehicles. Not lame clip art style nameplates.

You can’t even see it. Not even on the enemies. Maybe in the theatre mode when you zoom in 10x.
I really thought that “regular” Emblems would be the worst thing we would get as rewards. But 343 really took it a step further with these Backdrops & Weapon Emblems.
What’s even more hilarious is the fact that this reward will come up during the next few weeks again for 2 or 3 more times. (Armour Emblem, Normal Emblem.)
