This weeks daily items...same as last week. (Same order too)

6 of 7 daily shop items were featured earlier this month.

There are definitely more than 7 season 1 bundles…

FOMO .vs. choke twice on last weeks bundles?

Some were bangers, but i can’t buy them again.

And they can’t sell what we cant buy

Estate gold - Nov 10th & 20th
Enigma - nov 11th & 19th
Special delivery - nov 12th & 17th
Fire and frost - nov13th & 18th

(ISR, Pineapple heaven, Tacti clamp) only daily’s not released 2x since the 8th.

its funny… why don’t they have ALL past items for sale in the shop? they want to make money on a F2P game, but limit what’s sold in the shop? …

Put all season 1 items in the pool.

Program a minimum duration between repeats.

Hit randomize a few times, than save

I’d expect them to throw out some of the old Mark V[B] bundles at some point. Now that everyone can get the Mark V[B] core, I’d think this’d be a prime time to get people to maybe buy some of those bundles that they originally passed on during season 1. Heck, getting the core got me to go back and upgrade to the premium pass for season 1, so I can deck out my CQB with some more things that I can’t get with just the free 30-tier pass. Surely someone will now say “hey, I’d be interested in picking up the HAZOP set now that I don’t have to spend $10 on top of the bundle’s price.”

I was looking forward to each ‘daily’.

Than getting disappointed by what we got last week twice.

Im hoping we get 7 different season 1 bundles.

12 days since the winter update.
7 or 8 bundles on a loop

Hazop Bundle is coming this week

I hope so.

We’ve had 12 days since the winter update.
And only 7 unique daily bundles

Yeah. I have some left over credits and was checking in everyday to see what was in. After the 3rd repeat I just stopped checking altogether.

Literally has been explained so many times… It’s to incentivize you to check the store regularly - and play while you’re around.

Do folks just, not get that?

No. Doesnt make sense. Especially when folks have lives/work/etc. FOMO is never a good reason to do anything this way.

Check regularly for items we got last week?

They are the same bundles in the same order.

If anything we, DON’T have to check the store.

[Edit]
I didn’t realize what this was a reply to. Sorry.

But you did, because you came back to check and discover they were the same items.

And the final daily before reset…

Mister chief bundle again.
Second November release.

Everything gets in the shop twice this month.

Nah I don’t think you get it.

I’m not justifying it. It’s stupid, bad, scummy, but I get why they do it.

Just because you can explain it does not mean you advocate for it, that’s - that’s a very simple concept.

I guess I don’t get it. Thats ok, until they change it they won’t get a dime from me anyway

That’s completely fine. But what it’s designed to do is to irritate, inconvenience, and incentivize the player into logging in and checking the shop to see if anything of interest is in the store today. If not, they’re already here, it may be a good time to play some Halo.

These are engagement metrics. Even just logging on has considerable, tangible value to the company.

It isn’t good for us. It isn’t made to be convenient. It’s made to keep us coming back.

This isn’t a you problem, Whorigin. It’s good that you don’t fall prey to it. But a LOT of people do. That’s why so many companies do it - and because so many do it, and thanks to a largely unregulated free market, it has to be done to compete. In other words they’re stuck in a rut.

Even if they did want to remove it, the removal of the systems would hurt metrics, which hurts their fiscal reputation, which hurts investor interest (investors are really just pack mentality, scared by noises they hear rather than tangible things.) - which hurts 343i’s funding, which hurts their ability to staff, which hurts their ability to do anything about the game.

It goes up and down several ways and it’s all terrible.

The reason they choose to repeat the dailies is mainly to invoke interest to the players who don’t have said cosmetics, or to the players who choose to hold off till they have the amount needed to purchase the cosmetics that interest them. Some Cosmetics have a higher percentage rate of coming back to the shop based on their overall popularity with the player base community.

The only thing I would consider buying is an ALL Black armor but it seems like that will never happen for whatever reason(s)
