Hi,
I’m an old school Halo fan, who jumped ship after experiencing the abysmal disappointment known as Halo 4. Anyway, some friends of mine we’re thinking of getting some actual xbox ones (the original boxes) and those good old 360s together to do some lan games on a couple of the fun Halo games (Halo 3 and Halo: Reach). This got me thinking, and made me curious to check up on my old Halo stats. So I came back to this website, in perhaps years… and wow… I’m stunned that you can’t even design a website right… what is this lazy, phoned-in rubbish??
White backgrounds everywhere - you’re not captivating your audience here. Impressive perhaps… for the maiden days of the internet.
TERRIBLE choice of font - squished, thin lettering, in all caps like a movie poster. It’s a strain to read. So if you load up a full page of forum thread titles, you don’t want to bother reading anything. Might as well close the page and move on.
More profile medals I don’t understand…
And a dull ranking system that hasn’t changed in years. Which also, forces you into some unwarranted roleplay as a marine or ODST or some other lackey that I don’t want to be.
Your Halo games are bad, but I really wonder why EVEN your website is so lack-luster. I remember that Halo Waypoint wasn’t impressive during Beta or at launch. But at least it had colour, and a little bit of character, and readable font. Typically I’d close with a question inviting discussion, but I have no interest in checking up on this post. I just wanted to let you know how poorly designed I think the website looks right now haha.
EDIT:
Oh, and when I edited this post, the paragraphing was lost. This was a basic problem on these forums years ago, and it’s still not fixed? What a joke! Asking how many monkeys it takes to fix a lightbulb would be a fair analogy.
