The forums section for me just took over 20 minutes to load, and I had to reload it once in between. Meanwhile, a live stream I have in the background is running flawlessly, and the B.net forums are loading in milliseconds.
It might be because of all the useless aesthetic crap on this website, but whatever it is it slows the hell out of this place. Please try to improve the loading speeds.
I’m getting the same problems. As well as the infamous “log you out and not let you log back in” glitch.

Yeah, I’ve always noticed this. I have 100mb/s broadband which we all know is very powerful. I can download Windows 7 in less time than it takes to load stuff on this forum sometimes.
It’s extremely slow, I’ve kind of gotten used to it. But I can load HQ videos, load any other forums and much more in seconds. Yet this forum takes forever to load.
It needs to be fixed or at least speeded up.
Along with that, I can’t keep this page as my homepage because it gives me an error screen saying “This is not the website you are looking for” whenever I have auto sign in on.

Yah me too. And it is only the Forums that are slow. The homepage is still loading quickly, but the forums are taking forever. And sometimes they don’t even load, and it just gives me an error message. Every other web page I have visited is running fine, except for this one.
ive noticed the forums going pretty slowly in the past 2 weeks… especially slow today- maybe had something to do with the recent downtime
The homepage is fine for me, it is just the forums causing problems, it is likely it will sort itself out in due time.
Time has taught me patience…

I had the same thing too but I had to eat and clean up and when I came back it was finally up.
It’s not the aesthetics, because that’s always been here, but the site has not always been this slow.
If you take a look at the URL, you’ll notice that it’s changed; instead of taking the form http://halo.xbox.com/Forums/and-so-forth, it is now http://forums.halo.xbox.com/and-so-forth. They’ve essentially migrated the forums from a directory on the main domain, to a subdomain. In all likelihood, the changed URLs reflect some under-the-hood changes that have been, or are still being, made to how the forums are hosted.
If I had money, I’d bet money that the slowness issues are stemming from those changes. I’d also bet money that the web team is already looking for a fix.
The forums on this website will be fine for months at a time and then they’ll just get really slow for like 2 weeks.
I’ve noticed this happening on the forums many times over the past years and about a week ago it started again for me too.
