Trying to use this website is getting harder. Im now getting the “lol log you out for 15 mins and theres nothing you can do about it” bug, the reply page has now started eating posts which im trying to submit, and does not even have the decency anymore to let me hit back page and try again…nope the text is just gone. Incredibly frustrating. Im now very familiar with the access denied screen when appears at random. The whole website seems to be slowing down as time goes on too, as more people start using it i suspect.
I know its not just me. People have had trouble before, i never used to have these issues but now i do so i can only surmise that its getting worse. Post up your experiences and perhaps 343i will do something about it.
These problem have been around for a while, they will be working on fixes for it, just have some patience and always copy your posts into your clipboard before hitting submit.

I try but i dont always remember ;_;
343i still needs to know that the problems are real and many people are having them.

After I spent 30 minutes on a single post to have it “Eaten” I always copy it just in case.
As for the other bug, I just clear Temp. History and I can log in.

I used to be able to do that but it doesnt work anymore. I clear all cookies manually, login to WLID again and im still not logged into waypoint, all i can do is wait. This happens at random.
When this happens, does it say “Can’t authenticate with Xbox LIVE” in red text at the top of the site, by chance? Or does it display any sort of other error message?

Last time it happened to me, it simply didn’t let me log in, when I clicked the sign in button, it would load the page as normal, do the usual cycle and then when the page came back, I would still be signed out.
What causes it is beyond me, as it blocks your whole account out from anywhere, other computers, Android devices, phones, laptops, everything.

1st problem:
Yeah it is very random. I haven’t scene a pattern yet when it happens to me anyhow.
2nd problem:
I haven’t had it not retrieve my post when hitting back yet hopefully it doesn’t start that on me. That would stink.
I don’t know what issues are with other browsers but I am using a portable version of Firefox: 2.x (Updates are Overrated >:3), anyways I’ve got some tips and tricks that might help you folks out.
Issue 1: I get randomly signed out and can’t log back in.
Solution #1: Delete ALL temporary history; your cache, cookies, everything.
Solution #2: Use a different browser, sometimes if Firefox is acting up I’ll load in an alternate browser and my login will work.
Solution #3: Log in from xbox.com; as far as I can tell xbox.com has the same issue and if unable to log in from there it is unable to log into the waypoint forums.
Solution #4: Always Remember to log out; if you are going to be away for more then a half an hour it is a good idea to log out just in case. Not really a solution but more of a preventative measure, if I don’t give the bug a chance to present itself I don’t have to deal with it.
Solution #5: iPad, iTouch, Android Smartphone, eReaders, Blackberries, alternate PC’s any other device to reset your login to xbox.com. From what I know you are not allowed multiple logins to xbox.com from different devices. By logging in with your phone it resets the connection on your PC and you are able to login again (A tactic I don’t often utilize but is often of use).
@bsangel
No red text appears. It isn’t a validation issue, but from what I can tell but seems to be more related to a time-out security feature or something. If you are unable to login to waypoint it is also not possible to login to xbox.com, issue is definitely client sided and can usually be resolved using the above methods.
Only time I haven’t been able to validate with xbox.com was when my tag was frozen.
I have never had any problems, and i use the new google chrome, plus to make things better my computer is run by a hamster in a wheel, (in other words its STUPIDLY slow).

No visible error messages or other abnormal text of any kind. Just the standard blurb near the “SIGN IN” button, with that button doing little more than refresh the page.
Once the bug happens in one browser, it happens in all browsers that are logged into the forums. When one browser is logged in and affected, one can log into the forums with the same gamertag on another browser (this is normal), but (and this isn’t) that browser will then also be affected. (Browsers affected for me: FF 3.5, 8, 9; IE9; Chrome; Opera; Safari.)
LIVE login on other LIVE-based sites (i.e. BNet) is unaffected. Clearing browser data (cookies or anything else) has no effect and does not fix the bug, though at one point in the past there was one Waypoint-specific cookie whose deletion would fix the bug.
It is therefore an issue with Waypoint specifically and exclusively. I’ve had it last as short as five minutes and as long as thirty. It’s like the forums know that an affected user is logged into their LIVE account, but the server just “forgets” to do anything to acknowledge the fact.
Trigger is unknown, so deliberate reproduction is impossible.
> Ive gotten a You have tried to access a part of the website you are not allowed in sort of message glich… Its happened around 3-4 times.
Oh, yes, this. If your login state becomes glitched in the manner I have described, and then you hit the button to preview/submit a post, you end up at this page. Notably and irritatingly, clicking “Back” will not allow you to recover whatever it is you’ve typed.
Perhaps that error page could be modified… It could be given a list of “important” fields’ internal names (such as the internal name of the “reply” textbox), and if the request that triggered the error happened to include submitted values for fields with those names, those values could be echoed back to the user, with a message such as the following:
This is the data you attempted to send. Clicking “Back” will not allow you to recover this data; copy it from this page and paste it somewhere, or it will be lost forever.
Hmm. I’m running Chrome, and aside from a few second wait to load pages, I’m not experiencing any technical difficulties as you’ve listed. Hopefully the bugs will be stamped out soon, though.
