Youll be able to link when you reach Marine rank.
As to the video, I don’t really have a comment. He didn’t really say much.

yeah the kid in the video is sorta goofy and pathetic

I’ve already seen this video from another thread, and I pretty much agree. There is something to the Bungie Halo games, especially the original trilogy, that just captures a sense of awe. From the art style to the music to the gameplay and features, Halo CE - Reach have really helped shape me into the gamer I am today, along with a few other games like the Pokemon games and Star Wars Battlefront 2, and I didn’t really start to play the Halo games until I got Reach, but I was into the franchise since around the time Halo 3 released.

Bungie knew how to make such amazing games, despite their flaws, that 343 just can’t recapture as well IMO. They can do some great things for the franchise like expand on the lore, or improve on stuff like Forge, but the general feel of Halo is either incomplete or just not there when I play or see anything made originally by 343. It’s not that I hate them, it’s just that I think they can do better and should, but I’m sick of giving them the chance to only to be met with dissapointment time after time.

While I loved Bungie games, I like more what 343i does. Bungie started something outstanding, 343i makes it even greater.

If the game play in halo 6 is as good as halo 5 I almost won’t care. Because the multiplayer is so good I didn’t end up buying tomb raider or SW Battlefront yet, and I’d planned on getting both of those on release. Hell I don’t even have an urge to play the division and I was super psyched for that since like a year ago.

This was the only dud as far as campaign goes in the entire halo series IMO, but I think that might come from it being the second game in what was originally going to be a new trilogy. And even then the missions themselves are pretty fun, I just think I expected a different experience because of the marketing.

The same thing happened for me back when halo 2 came out though. Because of the cliffhanger ending I hated that campaign. I talked trash about it to my friends for three years. But after finishing the fight in Halo 3, when I went back to replay halo 2 single player, I realized how beautifully crafted it was. I’m not saying this is definitely the case for H5, but I think after Halo 6 comes out, I might appreciate this campaign in a new way.

In my opinion the game play for halo 5 shouldn’t be touched in Halo 6. They should add in some things like base fortifications in warzone, or reqs that spawn AI companions. Other than that this game is perfect.

The art style and graphics of the 343 games is worse than Bungie’s in my opinion. I liked the darker atmosphere and tone a lot more that this “clean” look they use now.

Well, I personally hated the art direction of Halo 3, but whatever floats your boat. Keep in mind that a lot of the changes in modern Halo games stem from canonical changed, most notably the end of the Covenant War.

Oh yeah. I stumbled on one of his other videos earlier this morning (the one with the comic book writer.) Almost brought a tear to my eye… the way he articulates the whole thing.

All of his videos hit home…

I totally agree with this guy

I disagree with pretty everything in that video.

343 has done an amazing job with Halo. Took the franchise in a much needed and better direction.

Halo 5’s multi-player is the best out of all of the Halos and I’ve been playing Halo since day one of C. E.

Video is just the guy telling you endless stories about his childhood nostalgia while make 0 valid points. I don’t even get what his problem is, it all seems so superficial. “Make Halo about the players” the -Yoink- that even mean?

I posted this in the comments:

> Look, I love the original trilogy too, but people need to stop trying to relive their damn childhoods. Hell, if Halo 3 is part of your childhood, then you haven’t even been an adult for a decade. Slow down, would ya? It’s not possible to relive that stuff. Those memories you have of sitting in your jammies playing Halo 3 on a Saturday morning, stirring up those feels … they can’t replicate that. If they try, it won’t work, and you’ll resent them. And it won’t be their fault. They already did it with H2A and everyone complained about it. All this stuff I loved from my childhood is getting rebooted right now in Hollywood and it’s all garbage. You can’t replicate that. I mean, I do get where you’re coming from, and that’s why Michael Keaton will always be Batman to me, and why the score to the Batman 1989 movie always gives me goosebumps, but I was 5 when that movie came out. I never expected the newer Batman flicks to replicate that. You need to judge the newer games on their own merit, not through the exaggerated feels of your precious childhood memories … it doesn’t work. And for those of us who were adults when we played all these games, well, at least me, I don’t want to keep playing the same damn game every three years. For the most part, I’ve liked the evolution of gameplay … for the most part. lol

…How? Back. It. Up.

Otherwise you’re just being disrespectful. This man poured his heart and soul out for a whole 7 minutes, and since apparently he’s THAT wrong, then the least you could do is present an argument as to what makes 343 SO much better at handling the series or conversely, keep your mouthes closed on the topic. As of now those posts have provided absolutely nothing of value to the thread.

To be fair, the video doesn’t really make specific arguments. It’s basically “make halo good again” or “Make halo betterr” or even “make halo like it used to be” so these comments aren’t unprecedented.

He literally describes in detail how he felt every time he turned Halo 3 on and used all the new additions and modes added to the series, and what he felt going around the maps taking in the art direction, the music, the scale, and the ambient sounds.

He completely described what needs to be changed.

he basically describes his personal and subjective experience with halo… I don’t see how this is of any use other than making me dozy
