This User is Banned

Firstly, if I’m going to get banned or close to getting banned, an indication beforehand would be nice. Something like “are you sure you want to leave this game? You will be issued a 1 hour ban from Matchmaking if you do.” Or anything remotely similar.

Secondly, don’t make difficult weekly objectives game mode specific, like CTF only, Stronghold only, etc. I’ve spent hours just trying and failing to GET a game mode just to have a CHANCE at progress. Chasing these weekly’s often causes me to be a bad teammate. I got so frustrated I was quitting out of quick plays to get my game mode until I was banned. If this feels like a natural path for me, getting banned, y’all messed up with weeklys. And before anyone says “challenge swap” I already burned 5 of them trying to get one that isn’t so specific I have to be a horrible teammate to achieve them, or quit out of 10 games.

Don’t quit games if you don’t have an IRL reason that you need to immediately stop playing. This concept is decades old at this point. You’re being selfish.

I’m an adult, with a life outside of video games, and limited time. When the few hours I have are spent fruitlessly chasing obscure objectives dictating my gameplay trending towards quiting out of games for a chance to complete, that’s my selfish fault? Sounds like your being close minded.

You must commit to your randomized match of which you’ll likely only gain 50xp and you will LIKE IT! Aren’t you here for the gameplay? And you call yourself a TRUE nerd. The gall of this guy. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I have been dropped from games, failed to load in, had the game crash, and even left a few because they just weren’t worth finishing…and not even a 5 minute ban because they’re very lenient right now.

If you’re getting banned it’s because you’re legit doing something sketchy

I think you have to leave like 10 matches. OP admitted to quitting, and it’s easy to hit that amount when looking for a specific mode that way.

So let’s say you’re gonna steal something, do you think you need to be warned with a message that you’ll go to jail if you get caught?

Sounds like you only care about yourself. If you don’t have time to play properly, too bad, you’re going to finish the battle pass later than most players, but it won’t go away

Uhh yeah? That’s what a law is. A set rule that is defined and that everyone knows. If you break it, you pay the consequences. If there was a rule in game or notification saying “Quit 10 games and receive a ban of this time” then people would be less likely to quit, that’s what OP is asking for. You should always warn people and TELL them what the law is beforehand. If I arrest you tomorrow because you broke a law you didn’t know existed, would you be mad?

Same here!

Absolutely, 100% your fault. Yeah. The challenge system sucks. Yeah, I hate getting thrown into a game where I can’t complete challenges.

You know what I don’t do? I don’t screw over my teammates by leaving the game like a pathetic loser.

I’ve never seen a store clerk be like “Are you sure you would like to steal this? You’ll be breaking the law if you do!”

Every halo game after halo 2 bans people for quitting ( except halo4 maybe?)
So while it isn’t technically a “law” everybody knows it by now. Expecting infinite to be different when there are so many quitters on the MCC makes no sense.
If someone arrested me for a law I didn’t know I would be surprised because I generally know what is legal and what isn’t, but I also understand that in real life you can get arrested whether you know which law you are violating or not

Besides ranked, there is a join in progress feature. Wouldn’t you prefer someone who wants to play join your match rather than a challenge chaser?

team mates. what team mates you talking about, when everybody is in a free for all mode trying to complete challenges. :stuck_out_tongue:

Uh if the guy doesn’t have any challenges to worry about, I’d rather have him than someone who needs to get 10 kills with the pulse carbine.

Also, sometimes people don’t join and you get stuck with a bot that stands still in Slayer.

Are you confused about what I said? Because you are agreeing with me. The bot issue is another story, but join in progress still exists thankfully. And if people are quitting right at the start, you have better odds, it seems.

Did you literally not read what I wrote? I absolutely am not agreeing with you at all. I rejected your entire comment wholesale and gave two different reasons why.

You said you would rather have someone without any challenges than someone who has challenges(challenge chaser as I said), so I said, letting them quit is good because then maybe someone who wants to actually play instead of chase challenges will be on your team.

Yes. In a discussion about the OP. Who was leaving games because he couldn’t complete challenges in them. Ergo, I would rather him on my team since the challenge system is irrelevant for him than for him to quit and I get stuck with a bot, or a player that joins and needs Pulse Carbine kills.

OP is literally quitting to chase challenges lol. I am so confused as to what you are arguing here because i don’t want challenge chasers on my team, which tend to quit the match, and you don’t want them either. So… okay? I guess? Where is this going?
