So I buy the atn expansion and start the update. At around 10gb it stops installing when I press resume installing I just get an error message. When I click on the update it says it might be corrupted so I uninstall the game to reinstall it all like it recommends. Now I have no update and when I click on the game it says “Please try again that did not work for some reason”
Like what the actual ****?
What am I supposed to do? This update just completely -Yoinked!- my game. I can’t even play it offline!
I had an initial error message when I first attempted to download. I then had to cancel and reinstall the whole game. In the morning, once it was downloaded, I was very excited to play the new content. However, the graphics to the game were corrupted. I could no longer read any text (numbers or letters) and many of the colors were skewed. I have since uninstalled the game… AGAIN… and am currently redownloading from scratch. Let’s hope this fixes the graphics issue!
I spoke to Xbox support for over an hour and tried so many different things but in the end just had to factory reset! Sorry guys, seems to be the only thing that works!
Just adding info here in case anyone has a similar problem:
My boyfriend just experienced this same issue with the interrupted download and that it was corrupt (he has his Xbox set to auto download updates during sleep mode). He hasn’t even purchased the new DLC yet and encountered this issue. He had no choice but to uninstall and reinstall the game. However, when he uninstalled it, it never gave the memory (37.4GB) back to his HDD. He went ahead and reinstalled the game (the full 41.9GB - DLC still not purchased), and when the download finished, the game took an additional 41.9GB + the original 37.4GB from before, so now the game is taking up a combined total of 79.4GB on his HDD and he is unable to recover the lost 37.4GB of memory.
Check to see if the game gave back your HDD space after uninstalling the game.
For me personally, I was forced to turn my auto updates off during sleep mode because of this game, because I was sick of having to redownload 30+GBs every single time there was a new update, since I encountered the interrupted download glitch I heard about each time, so for the moment, whatever glitch or issue is occurring, I’m currently unaffected and I wont be updating the game or purchasing the DLC until I see some kind of fix for this. Will be standing by for information.
Lots of people factory resetting their xbox to get over this issue. Im gonna be patient and hope they fix this issue as I would rather not have to resort to such extreme measures. Very annoying as the launch trailer just got me super hyped to play this!!
Normally I’d move these topics to support, but it’s already filling up there with topics on this issue. Feel free to use one of the active topics there.
