After playing a few rounds of the new playlist, i see it as a great alternative game style, perhaps a good base for mlg.
but this isn’t what halo reach needs to keep the community with the flood of new FPS’ers coming in the next few months.
Reach is missing many things halo 3 had that made it fun to play and gave people a reason to play.
Double XP weekend
Zombie Maps/Gametypes
Skill Rank
are a few things.
Also many maps still have insanely stupid “missed kill zone” camping spots. asylum and boardwalk are a few that come to mind.
Another problem that Reach has is that buying the DLC was pointless, we never see these maps on any playlists other then one playlist which makes matchmaking stale for some since really no new maps are played.
Most of this is due to laziness on Bungies part and i can understand if 343 doesnt feel fixing anything above would matter since probably most of us will move to CE when it comes out.
not putting down the TU but this games needs alot more.
85% and what you said across the board.
just like my thread, cycle of halo, people dont know what they got till its gone.
bloom = reach
slow the rate of fire if you want a good game mode

Double Credit weekends still happen
Skill rank is broken due to boosters
Zombies still exists
The DLC falls into the category that they don’t force it as required like they should. In Halo 2, if you didn’t have the map packs, you weren’t playing. I think it was the same with 3, but I could be wrong.
And what do you mean move to CE? Its still apart of Reach if you’re playing multiplayer. It’s not a separate entity, its just another map pack for Reach.
The Title Update is what Halo: Reach needs. Halo: Reach also needs better maps, a better Infection playlist, and all sorts of things. You can’t say Halo: Reach doesn’t need the Title Update just because it needs something else as well. You can’t say a car doesn’t need an oil change because it has a flat tire and a broken windshield.

Agree. Bloom is fine as it is. Add something like a double exp weekend.

I disagree. Bloom was terrible. I do agree with double credit weekends, though.

Skill Rank was never broken due to boosters. Boosters were broken themselves. If everyone was legit, the TrueSkill in H2 or H3 would be perfect. But instead of making the same mistake 3x, Bungie made it so that you have your own rank based off of you, and random cR. Aka Reach ranks.
Now onto the OP, I agree. This TU is NOT what Halo: Reach needs.
And I also agree that people don’t know how good it is till it’s gone, as in Bloom.
Bloom fits in perfect with Halo: Reach, because that’s what Reach was made with, and adapted from.
