What better way to kick off 343’s attempt at trying to keep their game relevant than infinity FFA with pre-determined loadouts…lol not to mention the fact that the 4 weekly finalist will be the ones that literally play matches 24/7 to inch their average to a point where it cannot be passed. I’ll wait for swat next week…so far this tourny has come out the gate stumbling over its stupidly designed feet.

top players get 8.00…i really doubt them get the first place in 56 matches!
Im from taiwan…When i played this match list…
The Internet connection is really bad! lag is very Common
it is really unfair to those players who’s not in the US
At least you can play, I got really excited for this tournament when they very first announced it and then two weeks after that they said 18+. Still think it should have been 17+, I will never understand why it isn’t.

Playing more games won’t help your average unless you’re winning over and over and over again…
If you play exactly 20 games and win every single one, your average will be higher than someone who played 100 games and only won 99. The fact is, if you keep playing past 20, and you DON’T keep winning over and over, you’ll actually bring your average down.
Plus, pre-set loadouts and grenade only ordinance is pretty darn good if you ask me.
To be Honest…I’m not a big fan of Halo 4
I still think REACH is better !
But this tournament…The Rules and the system…
Are really a big joke to players not from US…
Especially players from ASIA…
The lag and everything…are really depressed…
I think i`ll pass next Halo Game…But I still buy a Xbox One!!

Every time someone says Reach is better. I’m forced to facepalm.
They are both bad, and trying to say Reach is better is just arguing semantics. Halo 1 and 2 were the best Halo games. Everything after that is sub-par.
Halo 4 is faster, and has FAR less bs than Reach did. Everytime someone says Boltshot, I say Armour Lock. Everytime someone says Custom Loadouts, I say AR starts. If someone says Ordinance Drops, I say Overpowered Grenades. If someone says sticks, I say Melee Bleedthrough. And then of course I remind them that just like Halo Reach, Halo 4 needed a TU that took far too long to come out to fix the game, which I should point out was 343i’s doing, not Bungie’s, 343 stepped in and fixed Bungie’s broken vanilla Halo 4. For everything wrong with Halo 4, there is something equally wrong with Reach.
The only two things Halo Reach had over Halo 4 were MLG vs Throwdown, and Anniversary Classic. And just because I’m nice, I’ll give Halo Reach art direction too.

I don’t care about placing. I know I’m nowhere near the best, and that pros who are far out of my league will be competing in this tournament. So all I care about is seeing how I do, and hopefully winning some free stuff.
To answer the question above about how you can win without placing, just playing 20 games a week enters you into a random draw to win additional prizes. So you don’t need to even be a good player for the chance to win.

Because laws in most regions dictate it must be so!! if you choose not to understand that then so be it, but stop complaining.

This. If you honestly believe you had even the slightest bit of chance of being in the top 4 players world wide then fair play for being annoyed with connection issues - but tbh, I’m quite sure all players that can even consider competing at that level sorted their connections out long ago.

Its hard to do that…
we only have 50m/10m …And that is the fastest in taiwan !
Because the game server is mostly in US…
so you get lag…no matter which Asian Country You from…is all the same !
so i think i will play 20 games every week!
and my keep my fingers crossed!

I like 4 better than reach but I honestly don´t like either.

Yeah I know but what I mean is: given that fact, I’m quite sure you have never played Halo 4 at any sort of standard where you would even have dreamt a top 4 spot in this competition possible.
Obviously in a world wide online competition with 30K people competing for 4 top spots you are going to have to provide yourself with a decent connection to compete for a chance to place in the top 0.001%
Yet another thread that drifted on to something else?
Either way if you know you can’t get into the top 4 you might as well play 20 full games even if you come last in all of them as you’ll be put in for the weekly sweepstakes. That’s all I’m doing as I don’t care about going into a tournament I’m just happy to participate.
Feel grateful you can actually attempt the win something while others can’t even put a single game towards this as its not allowed in their state etc.
