This sums it up.

This. I came for the campaign and was planing on staying for the MP. But now after knowing what will happen, I don’t even have interest of playing through the campaign, I haven’t even started. Seriously, I’m heart broken. I feel devastated, I feel like I lost my childhood pet to an incurable disease. After investing on the lore like I did, I feel like I’ve been slapped by sweaty old man’s balls on the last stage of decomposition. I’m still in shock. I’m I’m I’m I’m… epic scale… well at least they managed to give Linda the sniper.
I lost all faith in you, 343 Industries. But I thank you though, maybe now I can finally set myself free of this game. I’ve been “obsessed” with Halo’s lore since Halo 3, I loved all you did with the books, Halo legends, trying to correct the BS that Bungie did with Halo Reach’s retcon. The lore with the Forerunner saga books, genius. But then the cancer began when you decided to -Yoink- on every one of us by creating the Escalation/Initiation comic books.

Jesus christ I’m done.

lol

It’s a bad campaign, it’s quite fun really!

wtf

the multiplayer bugs me more than the questionable campaign

The campaign is fantastic in terms of gameplay. I get that people have issues with the twist in the story but honestly I saw it coming a mile off and it pretty much fits perfectly with the lore and sets up for an epic finale. Most of the interesting story details come from the in-game dialogue so if you haven’t actually played it then you will be missing out on a lot.

The story is diarrhea. After all the marketing, after hunt the truth season 1, season 2 sucked.

I dont see how there’s anything constructive to discuss.

I’ve only done two missions and feel little motivation to finish the campaign. That’s because everything - even the mp - just feels wrong. Aiming, gun play, sounds, art direction, characterization. Everything decidedly non Halo and more like…something else. Alien and unwelcome. Disappointing. Truly and utterly.

WOW thats sad

Shudder For some reason that meme gave me the creeps…

stopped reading at “I haven’t started”

I’ve seen all the cutscenes. I couldn’t stop spoiling myself. Didn’t complain about the gameplay.

To you, maybe, but many of us loved the campaign. I personally think it’s the best one to date.

I like to be positive. I keep complaints down to a minimum, and try to enjoy things.

But the campaign… 343i really, really messed up here. Those missions which require the player to press “x” a couple of times? Those are absolutely insulting, and how they can mention that game as having 15 missions is beyond me. Incredibly cruel.

The story was lame, and the lack of MC missions is a huge problem which makes me feel like some huge portions of the original campaign were cut not too long ago.

Very poor, and they should be doing better.

Many? I’d venture to guess the majority do not like the way the story was presented to us. It had the potential to be great…if told correctly. It wasn’t. Not even close

I liked it. Best campaign to date.
