I just don’t get it. Why is this such a big thing here on the Halo Waypoint forums. I am very new to being active in the Halo Waypoint forums but have quickly realized some monitors may be abusing there power. Here is a link.

Here is a post that has been up for over 1 year and suddenly has been locked. The reason?? Here is a direct quote "Please don’t revive old topics, thanks."
I am very curious to what this even means. People started reposting in it recently bringing it back up to the “trending posts”. I guess that would be us reviving the old topic. But if instead we were to just make a new post about this topic It would be locked for bringing up a old topic or we would be told there is already a post about this subject and get redirected. But now the post we would be redirected to has been locked.

Did they redirect you to an old topic, or did they say to put your post on a relevant, active thread?

As far as I’m concerned, if a thread is not locked - you are free to post in it.
If you don’t want ‘revivals’, implement an auto-lock after three months of the last reply to a thread.

Another rule is to not post about moderator decisions. If you have a question about a particular moderation decision, PM a Monitor.
