I’m at level 92 and I still haven’t unlocked the tactical magnum. Everytime I play war zone I want to use it however I still haven’t unlocked it. I feel like I’ve opened 100 gold REQ packs and I still haven’t got it don’t know if I’m just unlucky or I’m doing something wrong

Have you been opening all silver packs first, before moving on to golds?
Yeah by opening golds before silvers you are taking the long road to unlocking stuff. There is silver level stuff in gold packs if you dont unlock all the silver level stuff first there is a larger amount of items in the gold pool so to speak. Since it’s RNG you are less likely to get what you want from golds with silver level stuff still to unlock. So get nothing but silver packs till they refund two 1500 point req cards instead of unlocks then go on to golds. The name of the game is just go for everything and not one specific item. It’s faster that way if you just keep opening golds hoping for that one thing odds are it’s going to take forever since it’s all random.
On the plus side, you’ll get it eventually.

I literally unlocked the banshee yesterday and I’m level 114, the system makes no sense
Most people don’t sell all their unneeded reqs, and most people also don’t buy silvers first.
That’s why it can take a long time for people to unlock everything.

All RNG, I didn’t get the h2 BR until it was literally my last unlock, where as my buddy got it weeks before me.
I believe the REQs make up by far the most frustrating part of Halo 5. The inherent RNG basis is so frustrating–ranging from generous to stingy–and unfortunately, it seems you and I experienced the latter, OP. I didn’t even get a standard DMR until level ~65 and the phaeton was the very last thing I unlocked. Also, I didn’t get the basic Athlon armor until level 40 lmao.
Being that I didn’t start playing H5 until January 2018, and have been an active waypoint user since the reach changeover, I had the info to unlock silver packs first.
Pretty sure I had absolutely everything unlocked by about 110. Whispered truth cert was my last unlock, although I had already gotten numerous whispered truth cards before getting the cert.

I did. I get 3k back when I buy silver packs. The H2 BR is legendary so it’s up to RNG.

Same for me, the H2 BR and the Magnum with extra ammo were among the last things I unlocked and the items I wanted the most. However I got a basic DMR pretty early and a buddy of mine still has yet to get it.

Well did u go through all of your silver packs untill all you unlock from them is req points? Thats what ya gotta do my friend
