This isn't Halo

But whatever it is, it’s still pretty fun. I got bored after the first couple of days, but then I started really getting into Warzone Assault. Since it’s kind of like Invasion; it’s pretty fun. I also enjoy Breakout on certain maps.

Let’s be honest, though: Everything is completely different. The way you play the game is different. The only things that are the same is even starts, shields, and it’s in the Halo universe.

If you like the game, cool. But there’s no denying that this is a completely different game compared to it’s predecessors.

I think it is a nice modern/classic evolution of the game section of the halo franchise myself, but each to their own.

Cool story bro. All those threads saying “best halo ever” don’t belong here either with your logic.

I respect that. We all have different views, and I think that’s what’s awesome about the Halo community. Its large diversity.

Here’s my take; I hate the story, the custom game options are crap, Warzone is P2W, aiming feels horrible, some of the new designs look really weird and stupid, RNG rewards is a poor practice, and so many new ‘innovations’ in gameplay mechanics ruin the feel of Halo.

To me, it’s a generic shooter with a Halo skin on it. That’s all. It doesn’t even really look like Halo in some aspects. It doesn’t play or feel like Halo. It’s not Halo. But it has the name, Halo, and I love the franchise, so I caved and bought it. I regret it, to be honest, I hate that I gave them my money, basically saying “here’s my money, I want to see more like this” when in reality I don’t. I could have just watched the cutscenes on Youtube and got my lore fix, even if I don’t even like the story either.

If the aiming was patched, it would be passable, to me, as a good game, not a good Halo game, just a good game, even with all the other faults. But I don’t think that’s happening so it’s just a horror to play for me and a sign Halo is not improving or evolving, it’s dying, if it hasn’t already.

It’s the next iteration in the series, It’s supposed to be different! If you preffered the originals that’s what MCC is for! …it, you know, kinda works now… But I suppose what you’re is the balance between old and new means it’s no longer reconisable. However I’d disagree, I’m totally happy with it!

This is my option and you don’t have to agree or like it I don’t really care. 80% of people want halo to be like call of duty and never change stay the same but you know what happens it gets stale if u want something to improve to evolve it has to change and guess what it has to fail at times to get to that new better version and yet u guys want a halo 1 2 or 3 reskin and then you’d complain it’s never new just accept it needs to change and give actual feedback not whining and complaing

Ok… I have to ask, why post this if you don’t care about the feedback? That’s kinda what forums are for. EDIT Ah you’re not OP, my bad.

Well, when you buy a sequel, you do expect more of the same. Just with new (and more) content, better graphics, and some upgrades if there were any flaws.
CoD comes out every year; Halo (main series) games come out every 3 years (if you ignore the 5 year gap between Halo 3 and 4.) So it’s very hard to compare them.

While for some CoD got stale, it’s still the top FPS console shooter. And that’s with a yearly release. I wonder how long it would’ve taken for Halo to get stale since a lot less games come out compared to CoD. I don’t think it had a chance to get stale.

Just the way I kind of see things.

EDIT: Btw, most people who say “CoD sucks it’s always the same” usually aren’t even active CoD players. Most people who play CoD absolutely love it.
Same with Halo. There were people saying “Halo 3 sucks because it’s the same as Halo 2” but most people saying that weren’t even Halo players. It’s just the internet being the internet.

I played all halos and cod except bo1 and true you do want it to have the same feel but it’s a Different developer it’s hard to replicate a feeling or style of something unless u create it originally mostly you’ll get things that are close but never quite the same and since then people want it to be like it the original and therefore complain to get it even though it’s a new creator and everything. EDIT cod has 3 main titles that switch so it is kind of new but core wise it’s the same how many games did they go without adding things really new now they have wallruning etc to give it a newish feeling to try and make game better
