This isn't Halo anymore.

. . . It isn’t, or least it’s not Halo as we understand it from the original trilogy; Halo 5 is an entirelly different beast in almost every sense. The gameplay is different. The art direction is different. The sounds are different etc.

My point: H5 will not be a Halo game as you know it. If you go into H5 expecting an H2/3 feel, you will likely be dissapointed. This game is something entirelly new. accept it as such, and you may just like.

Weird, it’s almost like there’s another thread with an identical title directly under yours. One could almost say you could have wasted less space and time by just adding your thoughts to that thread.

Read this post.
Read that post.
Near identical titles.
Completely different context.

But, yeah, I didn’t notice the other thread. Sorry about that.

Haha.

To me it feels like a fast paced Halo 2. Obviously art will improve and change a bit, but it’s not going in a completely different direction, still looks like Halo to me! I never heard anyone say it’s like H3, and I think that is a very good thing. H2 arena combat was the goal and I feel like they nailed it. Complete obvious advancements and changes (343/Bungie have always been great about changing up Halo, for better or worse), but everyone I’ve played with says the same thing.

I think people need to realize that they are doing what they can to appease gamers, but keep it interesting. THEY are still the designers and developers. Gamers are lucky enough to have this much of a say in video games these days. You may not like it as much as former games, but that’s on you. They can’t tailor the game to every single persons desires, and no one says it has to be your favorite. Look at it as it’s own game, you don’t have to compare it to every other Halo then say it sucks because you don’t like it AS MUCH.

Definition of WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much entitlement.

Um… it is just a faster, evolved Halo 2.

I like Halo 5 that way. To be honest, as a veteran Halo player, I always wanted to see a Halo with that kind of design.
