This is why people quit mid-match

50 - 15

A painfully unbalanced match. I’m amazed that anyone stuck this out to the finish, and kudos to the two that did. However, I don’t blame the other two for quitting.

Pero si hay muchas quejas.
saludos

It frustrates me when people leave matches. It leaves remaining players with two options: Suffer a loss and likely poor K/D or quit and suffer the penalties for quitting.
Perhaps the game should automatically end if a certain percentage of another team’s players quit? If say, over 60% of your team quit then the game ends. It could end in a tie or perhaps with a default victory to whichever team was leading.

I played a full match like that last night. soon as it started they dropped. Just me and one guy remained. Got our butts handed to us by a full team with complete access to every power weapon on the map. Think about it, when there are only two other people you can pretty much overpower them and at least one of your teammates gets the power weapon. Even if i kill a few (and I did) I can’t exterminate the whole team every time for the sniper, etc. My partner took the worst of it (he also wasn’t yet ranked)–so it could have easily been his first day with H5.

Anyway, I get so extremely angry but I get a lot of Req. points and commendation medals for staying I guess.
But I’d rather a win :frowning:

For some people it’s because they need to go some were or the lag is very bad.

I get having something to do.I’m a grown man with a wife, kids, a dog and tons of responsibilities, etc. and at a moments notice I may need to pull away for a second.
I disagree with penalties for leaving, but It happens so much in Halo that something had to be done.

My only solution, keep the game open like COD and allow there to be a person that can come in when one leaves. Having those extra bodies help even if they suck, at least the whole team doesn’t jump one or two players. They have to at least spread out and deal with the others too.

Yes but everyone hates that cause it’s “not competitive”. And apparently ripping off all other shooters.

I’m not trying to bash you or anything, as you have a very good starting point. But that just brings us back to the JIP topic that was heavily thrown around pre launch of this game. Weather Halo 5 would feature it or not like Halo 4 did. I’m a competitive player, I play to win and I HATE to lose. Like I know most of us do. And I know there is nothing more frustraiting then a teamate leaving. it ruins everything. I’ve had players leave a match when they didn’t like how it started out, and this is a match that we were only down by like 5 points in slayer. But the one thing I hate more than a leaver, is joining a game in progress… Win or lose. As a competitve player I believe the first minute of the game is the most important minute of the entire match (In arena of course, not so much BTB)

Do you know how fast I would quit this game if they placed me in your match midgame losing 40-15?

They need to increase the penalty for leaving. You leave once, 10 minute ban. You leave twice, 30 minute ban. You leave three times in one day, hey you are obviously busy, come back and play tomorrow. Resets daily.

I have no sympathy for disconnects or you having to get up and do something. You’re simply ruining the game for the remaining seven people who choose not to leave every other game. Your internet is an issue? Fix it.

If you leave 3 4v4 matches in one day that’s 21 people you’re effecting by taking away from the enjoyment of this game. Yeah… Feel bad.

Quitting is pathetic. Quitters disgust me. I get my bleep handed to me all the time in Arena. I am not great at Halo multiplayer but I love Halo 5 multiplayer. I never quit. Every beating I take makes me better and one day I will slowly crawl my way to a level of respectability I am happy with. Every now and again my old twitch reflexes will come back and I will hold my own. Regardless I am still enjoying myself and hopefully the talent level of the people I am playing against will help me so when Halo 6 rolls around I can be over 1.0 KD all the time.

I remain convinced that the ranking system is just for show.

Hey, look up two posts before this one. Maybe you missed my first statement. I get me butt handed to me too because of quitters so I get it but there has to be something we can do. No one likes getting jumped nearly every game because people quit.

I know Destiny implemented a system similar to this, but I haven’t seen the communities response to it. I personally agree to something like this. It’s extremely frustrating to be 20< points behind and know that absolutely nothing you do will turn the game around. At that point I just want it to end.

Quitting is for loser. Just take it like a man and face your beatdown. You’ll grow from the experience.

On a side note, when I notice more than two have quit in Arena (4v4), I’ll play back and observe rather than hunt. It’s no fun spawn camping or 4 teaming a lone survivor.

The game should auto end if it goes lower than 75 percent cause 3v4 isn’t too bad

the tie mechanic would be broken for ranked playlists and not competitve

default victory even more so because of DC’s and real life stuff that people need to quit for

JIP is a thing but if a team is getting slaughtered…well thats the nature of the game: rek or get rekt

Played a round of Doubles and my other team mate didnt like the map so he backs out. Stand to be a spartan I fought against the two by myself and lost. It would of been a great match and I would of made my peace and said good game if the other team didn’t simply camp with rockets/snipers and -Yoink!- my body every time.

Forget no player is very spartan like, If the roles were reversed I would of just hide and allowed it to be 1 vs 1. But that just me.

Came here to complaing about quiting. It needs to be addressed better than it is. You cant blame the internet connection anymore. Rocket league even bans people who leave for 15 minutes for their first offense. Play warzone if you dont have the time or cant stay for a game and quit after its done.
