Its funny how you blame the playerbase
You know the reason why this game is still alive its because of the players without them halo infinite mp is dead
You really want infinite to end up like halo 4 don’t you

This isn’t just about delays but about cancellation and misleading the fans ‘again’. 343i made claims about splitscreen and claimed to have learnt from their mistakes then continues to repeat the same mistakes. I’m sorry but 343i need to be accountable.
Maybe. There are solid points on both sides of the argument.
I think all we can really do is what we’ve already been doing.
Existing here on the forums or playing other games. Maybe I’ll try their ticket system, again. Though I might not realky get through to them without my ticket being marked as solved after 30 days.
Yea bad news is always going to be met with some level of outrage (this is with anything even other games) but that doesn’t make it right to deliver that bad news at the last possible second. Its stuff like this that makes people hate 343 even more because it’s unprofessional and it’s disrespectful. Especially after they constantly tell us “we hear you and we will be better”
but that doesn’t make it right to deliver that bad news at the last possible second.
I’m not saying its ok, I’m offering perspective on why it might have happened.
Its funny how you blame the playerbase
Theyre the people who consume the product. Without them, the product is dead. As long as the product is being sold, that means someones buying it.
I would rather have them announce bad news than have no news at all.
I second this.
The update is meant to set expectations. This communication is, despite some adjustments to the previous projected goals that had to change, a kind of humility you don’t see from a corporate juggernaught.
Match XP and the mini season they’re releasing, if it goes as they hope it might, will hopefully set the stage for the seasonality goals they spoke about.
The game is dying stop blaming the players
343 is to blame
Oh i know. My post was about lack of communication and offering perspective on why 343 might be hesitant to be completely transparent concerning bad news. Its not a justification, its a different perspective
I agree to a certain extent. We can’t go long periods of time without any communication. If it’s bad news, I’d rather them give it to me straight. Honestly, I just want to hear more of the stuff they’re working on.
They’ve mentioned more quality of life updates. I want them to elaborate more on that.
Like a ‘TWAB’ sort of thing.
I’d like them to adopt a ‘TWAB’ approach.
Yea they should. Especially if they are really invested in this live service.
Honestly in a perfect world, this game wouldnt even be out at this point. I really wish they just delayed the whole thing
Like a ‘TWAB’ sort of thing.
If we got regular weekly updates this news would not have hit as hard as it has. It really is the long silence followed by a massive dump of bad news that is causing this outrage right now.
It would be dope if 343i made some community highlight posts too, that are not just HCS related. It seems like they really want to be corporate and distant from their player base.
Hopefully, we can get more regular updates from now on. If not, then we are bound to repeat this process again and again.
No one is saying that you do, but youre on the forum complaining so obviously youre already giving it to them
Fair, allow me to restate what I meant. I don’t owe their game time and money. After all this is the end goal of everything they do, maximize attention and profit for Halo Infinite.
maximize attention
And by blam are they getting attention
And that attention is bad as everyone is calling them way worse things than the community does heck it was enough to get 343I trending on Twitter for a bit
They had 6 years to develop the game, and still this long after release they’re still delaying things and can’t meet deadlines. It’s not our fault when we see they’re fumbling the ball at every turn.
Bad news doesn’t age well.
I mean to be fair, this update wasn’t just “bad news” that was out of their control, they literally told us that they lied to us. Multiple times. About something we take seriously. If they don’t have anything good to report, don’t make Halo let someone else. You know, crouch or get off the pot.
For those of us who warned, repeatedly, that this kind of business model would not work with Halo, and would ruin the game, each update like this is a reminder that we were ignored, and a chance to point out where they went wrong.
I think you forget that for many, there has never been an assumption of good will on 343’s part. We want Halo, and 343 wants money. Sure, it felt like Bungie wanted money too, but it also felt like they, too, wanted Halo.
We’re mad because they broke a promise. That’s not a communication issue, that’s a trust issue.
Apologies for expecting a AAA game studio to launch a complete game and then have a solid post launch support structure. I know it’s to much to ask for these days.
Imo, they dont communicate or read their own forums. The opposite of what youre saying.
Twitch, reddit, Other video game forums, but not here.
Look it up.
When an outpouring of community complaints come due to them failing again, they say we hear you, but usually ignore it in the pursuit of money.
Imo, there is no interaction, really…at least for the 2 or so years ive been reading this board
