I would rather have them announce bad news than have no news at all. Its disappointing, but yall are literally just sending the message, “Hey if you dont have anything good to report, dont report anything at all.” Like they even had good news and yall are still mad. Was anyone expecting anything besides Coop to drop before the end of season 2? I thought we all knew forge wouldnt be ready until then. We get the progression system we asked for. Like 343 is literaly giving us what we asked them to and yall are still pissed off at them just cuz you have to wait.

This is probably why they said nothing about coop being delayed until the last second.

343 needs to perform at a AAA level if they set out to make a AAA game. They aren’t. Things will probably fail to improve unless there is a change in management, whether that’s new people brought in or the current people there beginning to do their jobs correctly.

But they do communicate. They were telling us the engine was reving, they were coming out of their cacoon, they were ready to begin producing content…and then suddenly go silent for a for a bit and delay things by 3+ months .

Instead they look like liars because they hype up their work then realize they haven’t met the bare minimum of it.

More like, if they have nothing good for me to play, then I won’t play anything at all. I don’t owe them my time and attention. If they want engagement, they already know how to accomplish that. I feel for all those hard working devs at 343. They take a lot of BS from angry internet trolls that don’t understand how the games industry works, but my sympathy doesn’t extend to accepting a bad product.

You all are acting like they just announced that theyre abandoning this game outright (and i can already hear all of you saying that you would rather have them do that and start on a new title).

Obviously its not our fault if they fail to communicate, but when the community is already constantly pissed, theyre just gonna retract into their shell if they have to tell us something thats gonna piss us off even more. I know ive contributed my share to this problem, but todays update made prospects seem actually alright. Was anyone really expecting anything besides Coop to launch before the end of Season 2? And we all get the return to the baseline progression system that everyone was screaming about. Like theyre giving us what we want and we’re angry at them for it? Whats wrong with you all?

Broke promises

Used excuses

Released a broken game and abandoned it for years

Allegedly called fans moochers of reach

And being incompetent

And we’ve been dealing with it for 10 years

We’re sick and tired and everyone outside of the community is too

What should we do then? I mean, all we have is our voice. We can’t really show up and do their work for them.

I’m currently trying my best to be more vocal, but my posts rarely get any sort of dev attention. I don’t even know if they’re truly watching or seeing anything I post.

You obviously dont work in a position where deadlines for a project need to be met…

If I told one of my clients that they could expect our software to be up and running in their environment by the end of august and on the very last day i tell them sorry its not going to happen then they would be upset and rightfully so.

The proper thing to do in that situation is be transparent.

Already addressed this. I agree. I’m saying the reason they did this is because bad news is met with outrage so they just scramble. Still unprofessional but players need to be held accountable for putting stress on them as well

i’m just glad that split screen has finally caused an outrage. i’ve been outraged for years since mcc pc came out and was lacking it, then got added on the backlog after people complained before never being talked about again. complete radio silence since then. 343 needs to go.

The playerbase are the ones responsible for enabling them. They play the game and buy the cosmetics. All the while we moan about how horrible it is. Why would they change their business model?
