This is what the Halo ring should look like in HD.
Not this hooky, jagged, edge protruding, bumpy excuse for a piece of slick Forerunner architecture.
But that’s just me. What do you think?

Just looks the same but with a ton more detail and lights ect. Any way i like.
And this ↓
Those are two different installations.
The second one is way more beautiful.
I think it’s perfectly fine.
And, This ^
> Those are two different installations.
This says why it shouldnt bother you
I didn’t say it was the same installation, I said it should look like that.
But to stand by my point, take a gander at this.
Meh, I like the new one better. It takes a step back from the uninspired knock-off of Forbidden Planet (seriously, watch the movie and you’ll more or less find every variety of forerunner achitecture a full 50 years before the xbox) and sets an aesthetic unique for Halo.
The first image is from afar and lacks any dimension.
The second image is from closer up and packs much more dimension.
I expect the first image to look more and more like the second as I get closer to it.

That second one looks more -Yoink!-. So I’m gonna have to go with the second one.
I like the second one, save for the panels sticking out of the edges. I think those should be rounded, per every other depiction of a Halo ring thus far in the franchise. That’s just my opinion though. I’m not against detailing the rings, just against changing the design.
Please, when you look at anything up close it always looks different, ever try putting your hand under a magnifying glass? or look at a picture of the death star from far back and close up?
lol your kidding…the 2nd one is way more beautiful and the 1st one just looks to pale and lacks a lot of detail and a lot of polygons (because its an early version of the halo engine), plus its concept art isn’t it?
I like the second one a lot better than the first one. Much more detail.

DUDE!!! I’m excited just to see the Halo blow up in anniversary now!
I like the first one, it’s detailing is more monolithic looking, the second one just has too much light up bling on it for me. I bet these revisions are probably going to tie in more with the look of forerunner items in h4.
Meh. I actually like the revisioned version. The lights make it look a bit more realistically machine-like and not just some floating hoola-hoop
I prefer the second one, it looks more menacing.

Now it’s really God’s own anti-son-of-a–Yoink- machine.
I kinda have mix feelings over the new look. I miss the cold silver steel color over the more blue-ish tint the new look gives off and the way the new round patterns that make up the outer part of the ring to me makes the ring seem a lot smaller then it actually is. That and the panels hanging off the edges don’t fit at all. Personally I thought the rings looked fine the way they were, but that could just be the old school Halo fan boy talking. On a side note though this is a shot of the demo they showed back in when they first announced it so it’s probably an older build.
