I don’t quit, I just don’t play. I turn my TV on mute, and go on youtube because I play with a computer on my lap.
Sure I am AFK, but they can’t cR ban me. Why is that, because the system they have only drtects things like 0 kills, and many deaths. or 0 deaths and many kills, over a course of 3 games.
So when my team does totally suck, I still have a score, say I play a while, I go 9 kills, and 11 deaths. That seems legit, and the system will just pass me because it does not look like anything bad.
I have 9 kills, and the team score is like 15 (my team) to 30, (other Team). Now I know that they are going to win, my team members have less then 3 kills each. Obviously there is no chance. So I just put my controller down, and go on youtube for 5 minutes, and I do not have to deal with the bad players.
I still get awarded for playing. Even though I played about 1/4 a match.
I have not tried this yet, but it seems better then quitting. Let me know if you think this will work.

Yeah, that is the thing. Some people really care about their K/D. But if I am not doing this, I am just killing myself over and over. It is not something I really care about.
So yeah this really only works if you really don’t care about it.

Well I could rage quit, but where would that get me.
I am just manuiplating the system they have. If Reach can’t have a true skill, and be playing with people who are about my skill, then I will find ways around the game to play it to my advantage. If I quit, then I will get banned. Why is that, because Bungie FAILED to put in a trueskill? 343 has better things to do then make one, so I will find ways around the game so I can still not be an angry person like I was when I played Gears of War. This just works.

If you’re not going to play the game and just be cannon fodder for the other team to rack up kills/ points, then don’t play the game at all. At least the people who “suck” on your team are actually trying to play the game.

Why is it different for me? I quit about 2 times one day, and the next day I quit 1 time, I got banned. The next day, I quit one game, i get baned.
You guys are saying you can quit more then 3 times in a day and you don’t get banned. What the?
Even if were to lose over and over, by still playing in the match you earn alot more CR than you would AFKing. Thats why losing in Reach isnt as big a deal as it was in Halo 3. The over all multiplayer aspect of Reach is built so that everyone pretty much walks away a winner. You CR even if your the worst player out of the whole match. The rank system isnt built on skill as we all know, its build on how much a person plays the game. I do hear what your saying, i do like to win the matches but at the same time you still earn CR no matter what and giving up is just a stupid way out. Im sure that 343i knows that we want a true skill rank system and will get it with Halo 4. But considering how much the numbers have dropped for Reach players in the last month with all the new games that came out, Reach is gonna have some crazy matches. The ranks are all over the place and players skill is just as nuts. If you wanna AFK then fine go for it but your not solving any issues and really there is no losing in Reach cause the rank system isnt skill based and everyone gets CR, you just earn more based on kills and metals
I say that’s the worst attitude you could have. You don’t know anything about the other ‘‘bad’’ players, they may just have a bad day or they’re new to the game. Give them a chance -Yoink!-.
The only time I give up/ grief is when elite slayer is selected. The grieving is brought on by a very angry plasma pistol. I still get more kills than most of my team.
lol, I swear to god it just took me around 120 MM games this week to reach 50 wins (with a career win % of 56 or something) for the weekly challenge because of the people I kept getting stuck with. I don’t know if the LD playlist emptied into Swat (what I play mostly) or what but it was really sad.
That said I played through just about every game … AFK’ing in slayer is the dumbest thing you can possibly do. Go hide or something, geez.

Did you miss the part where OP said his teammates had 3 kills each? You must not have read his post. There is no way to turn a game around with teammates scoring that low.
