So my friend made a clip from a streamers rebroadcast last night before I go any further I want you to watch this video.
Clip from the rebroadcast
I was on the opposing team and this kind of situation occurs at least 10 times a day ( I’m not exaggerating at all seriously ) its actually surprising when a full party of 6 stays in against us that’s how accustom we’ve come to the other team backing out.
This feature has to be taken out of halo 4 it makes competitive match making a joke. You can argue all day that they were matched against much better player then them but that’s how you get better at the game. Just facing people in a game who are worse then you are is just -Yoink- in a sense
Tl;DR The back out system in Halo 4 is a joke and needs to be removed
Lol, they used to not back out when you said you were recording them, now they back out when they are recording themselves.
Done LOL.
They tried to back out the second time they matched us at the last second, but the party leader choked.
One reason why I don’t wear a headset. Nothing ruins immersion faster than hearing some dorky kid yelling “Back out!” or “On my X!” in that squeaky puberty voice.
OP makes the argument for non-competitive social playlists. Some of us really just want to have fun playing Halo now and then.
I see where both parties are. I like to have fun on Halo, and generally when you find tryhards they don’t make the game fun. They are the kind of people who sit in one area of the map for the entire game, sat with active camo and snipers, marking all the spawns.
If I wanted a tactical battle, I’d do battle, but I sorta prefer natural teamwork from skilled players in which the other team would rather have a good time than definately win by camping one area.
The only exception to that rule is Construct, in which I didn’t mind it when two teams were going at it, battling for control of the golden lift of death
Players like that make me lol.
“Oh no, the other Team is good! This’ll ruin my ever so precious K/D because I need to stat on those who are less skilled than I am!”
I like seeing my stats go up but these people are just Pansy’s for doing this. I never leave games knowing that there’s a challenge. If anything, it just gets me excited. I hardly ever get to experience a challenge in Halo 4. It doesn’t make it any better, seeing that they’re padding on Dominion. That’s the easiest of the easiest!
343 really does needs to do something about this.
Lmao, that’s -Yoinking!- pathetic.

So having the ability to co-ordinate through voice is “Immersion Breaking”?. For me nothing breaks the IMMERSION of being on a TEAM than a lobby completely void of any evidence of intelligent life. I might as well be playing campaign or against AI.
Lately, I’ve been concerned about the massive amount of people that quits in the lobby. I think the problem is even more painful in Team Doubles, because it’s so quick and easy to look at the opponent’s KD.
It’s just too easy :
If your opponent has a high KD, people quit the lobby.
If they don’t like the map, people quit the lobby.
EVERYONE know it doesn’t registers in your game history, so why wouldn’t they quit?
I just changed the appearance of my spartan to look more noob-friendly so it doesn’t scare lobby quitters.
343, in case you didn’t know, Halo 3 and Reach locked you in the lobby as soon as you joined one. I didn’t realize it before but it was simply brilliant. You joined a game? Well you should be in from the very start.
Think of it like that : lobby quitting let the player choose his opponent and map 100% of the time without any consequences.
LOL why should i ruin my K/D against tryhards?
play -Yoinking!- team throwdown, don’t go in dominion and ruin others K/D

The system matches people based on true skill/CSR Rank – so there’s a good chance you two would be similar in Rank
-
If u back out vs better player and worse player back out vs You . You see its a vicious cycle nobody would ever play anyone ever
-
Telling competitive people to go play throwdown is like tell u to only go play action sack – people can play any playlists they like no matter Skill

Who do you think you are trying to decide what’s fun and what’s not?
It’s just what the player base has been for awhile. All afraid to get played by decent players and all unwilling to actually exert any form of effort.
The excuse of calling other players ‘tryhards’ and ‘go play team throwdown’ is not only contradicting but silly. So apparently if you enjoy playing any other playlist other than team throwdown for a little while, are good, and have a few friends with you are are criminal scum and a tryhard ruining the fun of the ‘innocent’ folk who want to ‘have fun’.
Got news for you all: You can be good at a game and have fun in any playlist. That does not make someone a tryhard. It simply makes them a good player who happens to face you in a match and enjoys having fun by winning the match and actually putting effort into the game. If you don’t enjoy getting stomped on then perhaps try to improve instead of blaming other players who are simply playing well.
I really don’t care how many players back out of lobbies when they see me (has happened many times), calls me a tryhard, or spits out some other foolish talk. They are all the same: players not worth my time to fight since they wouldn’t even be a challenge in the first place.
They would have quit anyways but that’s not the point.
Locking players in and giving them the ban hammer for quitting is the only way to go.
Player would complain over at B.net and asked why they were banned from Reach and always denied it when their stats showed otherwise.
This also adds to the JIP mess overall and when players can do this knowing they will not be punished and their stats aren’t affected it the best way to back out with only a minor inconvenience.
