Pretty sure it’s just so that they can sell the same colour multiple times separately, essentially.

for sure.
They really nailed the gameplay and botched the F2P aspect of multiplayer. At least the latter is easier to fix.

Like many said, like the concept, hate the execution.
Personally id like core to only affect attachments and shoulders, so colors, visors, and maybe helmets would be universal, but tbh I wouldn’t mind loosing the whole system altogether.
Maybe I would be fine with the system if there was more customization options, it feels like everyone has the same 2-3 combinations for each armor core.
It will get better as more parts are added to the game, but it will get extremely better as soon as everything becomes cross core.
