The problem with this approach though is if you’ve already finished the battle pass then all the challenges you’re knocking off to get the tactical ops ones active serve no purpose. And you may have to end up playing modes you don’t want to in order to get to the tactical ops ones anway.
I never left MCC. Overall, I play it more than infinite. But yeah, I might be done with Infinite’s MP until season 2 comes out, since last night I also finished the battlepass.
No, the problem is definitely the game. You know how often I’ve done stuff like that on other Halos’ matchmaking? Pretty much never (except when I jump off the map in Oddball, but that’s because of strategy). But other Halos rarely had me grinding for almost 10 hours in one day. Hell, I even quit a couple games last night because I couldn’t stand yet another match of swat on Launch Site. That’s an even rarer thing for me to do. I’ve finished plenty of Halo games over the years where it’s me vs an entire enemy team, because all my teammates quit. You know the game messed up somehow when someone like me quits. Getting repeatedly spawnkilled for 20 minutes is more fun than grinding Infinite.
On the bright side, Elden Ring has been a heck of a ride, for me at least. I’ve got over 50 hours into the game and I haven’t even got to Crumbling Farum Azula (that’s a late game area for anyone who hasn’t played up to that point). Elden Ring is basically what I’m using to hold me over to season 2. The amount of content in that game is insane. From Software really nailed it.
You see 343 industries, this is the kind of praise you all should be aspiring for. This is the last week of tactical ops we’ll be seeing, and after this we’ll be getting nothing until season 2. I think you guys are just lazy, you all have zero communication with Halo Fans (emphasis on the lack of a roadmap), your “mid-season update” has really been just a day 1 patch three months late to the party, and it doesn’t even solve all of the problems it claims it does. Latency and jitters are still a big thing in Halo Infinite.
the game just doesn’t respect your time. it rewards you nothing for staying and nothing for even using your time. it is DESIGNED to waste your time, rather than to enjoy your time. it may as well be a mobile app, being banned is just you running out of ‘lives’ having to wait for 'em to ‘recahrge’
i’d say at this point to stop playing… i personaly have no interest in continuing to play unless it is an event, but even then… it’s so boring that i may as well be playing the copy and past series that is call of duty over infinite. heck, i’d unironically play H5 over infinite, that’s how lame infinite is imo
You had 14 days to do everything. Why do people keep trying to complete these things in a single day?
I only have 4 days a week where I’m able to game, and I’ll usually play no more than a few hours of a game a week (except Halo in some instances, since it’s my favorite game). This last week was the only time I really had time for this. Plus I’d just rather get it over with. And I’d gotten all the challenges done so I wanted to go for the visor.
That’s still more than enough time…
Not when some challenges take hours to complete.
It’s clear that 343i doesn’t do anything to limit the RNG based on the challenges. With so many players and so many combinations it’s a statistical guarantee that someone will have literally the worst luck.
My advice is to not even look at the challenges. Pretend they don’t exist. It sounds like it has already ruined the game for you. Don’t let completing challenges be the reason why this game is fun.
Because BIG SUPRISE, 343 forcing players to jump through specific hoops to get content makes them cut corners to achieve the reward. the level of specific challenges is a bad idea, they should be simple, like get x amount of kills, assists, spree medals. No killjoys to reward feeding, no weapopn specific ones to punish them for getting the map that doesn’t have that weapon, and no vehicle specifics beyond a few splatters or wheelman medals.
Some fans have lives outside of just playing Halo 24/7…
I see.
I figured that they would just try to complete other challenges that they have rather than just sit still tho.
I didn’t get Mangler Tactical Slayer, but I often have at least one challenge that applies to the current mode I am playing, such as saving a team-mate from afar.
I only played Halo 3 times last week and only for the event. I definitely do not play this game 24/7. I barely olay it once a week.
Most of the challenges only take like 2 or 3 matches at best…
IF it gives you that match.
I just LOVE getting 5 Sidekick Tactical Slayer matches in a row when the challenge calls for headshots with the Mangler.
Or when you get a CTF challenge and the game instead gives you Oddball.
Yes, but when I’m only getting one of the matches I need per hour of play, it takes at least a couple hours. If I could choose what specific gametype I needed I could do the challenge in 20 minutes, easy.
I agree with you. If you want to complete the challenge you need to play only this game mode. This is the reason why I do not care about challenges since the second week after the release of Halo Infinite. Please we want to play what we want, and some ranked. We still should be able to get equipments. Please Halo developers remember that Halo is a game and everybody should enjoy playing it.
Lmfao, thanks for the therapy part. Sounds like you need some too kid. Go get that feel-good syndrome. ![]()
First time playing Halo is looks like. Or keeping being a poor sport and afking and such. Whateve floats your boat ![]()
