Honestly, what made Halo 3 good and helped Reach beside’s the AL and Jetpack IMO. Is they both had betas. Giving Bungie so much info on what needed to be fixed within the next couple of months before release. Hopefully 343 will learn from this mistake and give us betas in the next up an coming games they produce. I won’t let slight glitches bother me. Because I’ve played H2 from Day 1. I KNOW what glitches truly are. And what’s game breaking and what’s not. Y’all just need to calm down, it’s only been a little over 3 weeks. First week was pretty much testing for them. The following weeks they have been putting in what seem small to us but still none the less fixes. They see the bigger picture. They are just putting the piece’s together for us to have an amazing game. Just give them time. Every game has bugs and glitches in it’s first couple of months. To create the patches and to fix the problems I would assume takes a while. That’s after finding out what’s causing these bugs/glitches in the first place that could take some time. So while one team is finding, creating and applying patches for the larger problems. They could have one team find small bugs/glitches and fixing them. You know, the small things that doesn’t require us to Download a TU every week.
Bungie has had years of experience for producing games. This is 343’s first time creating a game of this size. They are the “New” kids on the block give them a break. Room to breath and time to fix and apply patches to fix the bike known as HALO.
> So I just payed $60 to play a beta? I thought I was buying a finished game.
I never said it was a BETA. Every game released will have bug/glitches that takes time to fix. But if they had given us a beta months ago I would assume we could have avoided all this mess. Every game online’s first week release is pretty much a testing phase for the developers. So they can take all the information that we give them. And take the proper steps to create a solution for said problems.

There was a beta for Halo 4, it just wasn’t open to the public.

Do you honestly think that all the people who make up 343 have never made a game before? Seriously, do you?

Do you honestly believe everyone in 343 is from bungie? No, they are not ALL bungie ex-employ’s

That doesn’t matter where they’re from at all. So tell me, do you really think that the people who worked on this game have never, ever in their lives worked on a video game?

I can’t say whether they have or have not been with any other developers. All I’m saying is, this is 343’s first big release as a company. You don’t have to agree with me or my opinion’s.
Oh and to answer your question. No, I don’t think this is their first time making a game. But as a company, Yes. All they did for Halo CEA is added new graphics. They took over for when bungie left and added patches to Reach to keep it going until the release of H4.

It doesn’t matter as a company if it’s their first release. With a title like this you have to bring your A-Game… They shouldn’t be cut any slack or be given any leeway. There’s a lot of good but a lot of bad as well. Most of the bad can be fixed.

And what I’m trying to get at is to let them do their jobs in a timely manner. It going to take a few weeks to get patches out. Not a few days like some people assume. Most of the bad can be fixed, yes. But it’s going to take time to fix it.
Also, why can’t they be given any slack or leeway? You think just because they’re developers from other company’s. They will just make a game with no problems? 100% perfect out of the gate? Even Bungie had to patch their games after release. Prime example, Halo 2. If a company like Bungie can’t make a game 100% perfect out of the gate. Don’t think 343 will. Bungie’s been together for over 10 years making games. This is 343’s first time as a company making a game like Halo together.

That’s the point, most of the bad can be fixed.
That means there’s no fatal flaws right? Which means 343 did a pretty good job.
I made a post about this in another thread, just because these developers have made past games, they should get some slack just for the fact that this it their first time working together with eachother. Working a different game means a whole different world.
(personally, I don’t have any problems with the game, so when I say “cut 343 some slack” I mean specifically the people who have problems with the game, irrelevant of if I agree.)
