I am about to return this POS for Call of Duty Black Ops 3 because I keep getting disconnected from warzone and terrible lag when people use their mics. The mute all button usually resolves the lagging issue but most of the time it isnt working so I’m stuck lagging until I get disconnected. This is my first Halo MP I’ve had problems with. I didn’t even encountered problems with the MCC and the fact that 343 has yet to address this issue is the final nail in the coffin. Its too bad because I enjoyed the campaign so much that I was stoked to finish it on Legendary to see the extra ending. The MP is phenomenal too and its been my favorite Halo yet, even more than Halo 2 gameplay wise. I’m really sad that it had to end like this but maybe I’ll pick it up later in the future when they fix this -Yoink- up. I dont want to return it because I still have a glimmer of hope 343 will fix this but at the same time I’m slowly losing hope they will fix this. Not sure what to get BLOP3 or Gears of War anniversary but I’m leaning towards BLOPS3. It will be my first Call of Duty since I buy and play since BLOPS2. But I will wait until I finish Fallout 4 and get all the achievements. If the issue isnt fixed by then I will have no choice but to return Halo 5. SMH.

But its only this game I’m having problems with. I can play MCC just fine but this is ridicoulous. If they fix the mute all button function then I wont return it but if they dont I will have no choice. Many people are having the same issue and we all have TWC internet. I have read that changing the modem will fix this issue so I may try that also

Its directly plugged to the Arris modem.

Did you trouble shoot? Have you tried opening ports or power cycling your modem/router?
If you previously opened ports for other games, it could be causing a confliction. Reset your modems settings and start from scratch.
check to see if your modem/router needs a firmware update.

Well google it man. They have a utube video for everything. But don’t come on halo waypoint angry bashing the game if your not gonna troubleshoot or put in the effort on your end.

You’ve failed to give us the measure of the most important value when looking at lag issues, ping time.
im running 110 down and 10 up, the problem is the crappy azure thing. theres 10 servers in US and only 2 in europe, so most of the time youll play on american servers, all europeans have massive lag. i will bet that if you took a mass kd average and put it next to the US kd average there would be a massive difference.
i played 10 games of arena at a time when the EU wasnt busy and was put in gold with roughly a 2.0 kd, yet now every time i play i cant get over a 0.8 on any playlist(even one im not ranked in), most of the time its 0.5
its the worst MP ive ever had with halo and one of the most frustrating multiplayer experiences ive ever had, i know its got nothing to do with skill, im being cheated by crappy servers. last halo im ever buying, il save my money and just watch the cutscenes on YT next time.
my ping is 9 halo servers suck.
TWC is Time Warner Cable right? If is is, wasn’t there a problem with them and Halo 5 earlier this week?

I have terrible connections, but Halo 5 has been very smooth for me. I think you should double check your internet speed. If the connection’s fluctuating, you have a problem, and you will not have good games. If it’s lower than 2mb, you will have some issues. From what it sounds to me, you have connection speed of .5mb. So that is really bad for TWC.
I wouldn’t get black ops 3 if you’re having lag problem’s. Bo 3 has been much worse as far as lag for me, and right now it has some minor annoying bugs that should be fixed down the road.
Maybe you should barrow it from a friend, rent it from red box first or buy it from game stop used so you can still return it.
I heard it doesn’t have dedicated servers either, I don’t know for sure but after spending a good amount of time on it, I think it might be true.

it has proven to be a pretty good game in my opinion, Because…
- Split screen co-op regular/zombies campaign
- good multiplayer with many gametypes
- Custom games including split screen and bots.
4 . Co-op/slpit Zombies - Theater
As a big halo fan it still doesn’t win over halo because
Campaign- not a sandbox style and and has no replay value and is not to much fun in my opinion. I’m playing it on realistic with my family right now and the only thing that is really keeping me going is to unlock the zombies campaign mode and also for the challenge.
Zombies- i continue to play the zombies mode because of my family but honestly this one is not that fun to me.
Multiplayer- as a halo play obviously I like my matches to be less random and more even. But all the different weapons, kill streaks, perks crud and like that I don’t really enjoy. Also getting shot in the back or from all the time or running into all the campers, drop shooters and head glitching k/D freaks is pretty annoying.
But I am going to continue to play bo3 with my family, but for my style of game halo fits much better.
Oh, make sure you’re not running multiple electronics at the same time as you’re playing Halo 5. Devices that uses internet will slow you down…

Well I dont know the exact internet connection but I tell you its not bad at all. I will have to educate myself how to troubleshoot but if this doesnt work I will trade it in for Call of Duty.
